Liam Hemsworth still finds Miley Cyrus hot

Los Angeles: Actor Liam Hemsworth has reportedly praised his ex-fiancee, pop star Miley Cyrus, saying she looks hot in her latest music video `Wrecking Ball`.

The 23-year-old has admitted to her friends that Cyrus looks very attractive in the video, in which she appears naked, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The duo, who started dating each other after meeting on the set of their 2010 movie `The Last Song`, confirmed their split last month.

Charlie Hunnam is too busy for eroticism

Los Angeles: Actor Charlie Hunnam has dropped out of the big screen adaptation of E L James`s bestselling erotic novel, `Fifty Shades of Grey, just weeks after being cast in the role of Christian Grey.

The 33-year-old actor, who had been chosen to play the billionaire in the much-awaited adaptation, backed out of the movie due to scheduling conflicts, said the Hollywood Reporter.
"The filmmakers of `Fifty Shades of Grey` and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam`s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey," Universal Pictures said in a statement.
Universal and Focus Features` adaptation, is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson. Actress Dakota Johnson, would be playing Grey`s love interest, Anastasia Steele.
`Sons of Anarchy` star`s TV production was to reportedly end on October 21 and the movie production was set to start in November.
Another reason cited for Hunnam`s exit is the hype created around the casting.
"He was overwhelmed with the attention he received from being cast in the movie and got cold feet about carrying such a high-profile project," a source said.
"Universal was forced to hire bodyguards for the actor at a recent `Sons of Anarchy` premiere, where questions about Fifty Shades dominated the red carpet," the source added.

She says the recovery has been rather quick, and she has thanked her therapists for it.
"It`s a huge deal. It should have taken eight months and even my doctors can`t believe it. It`s been a long journey, the physical therapists have been incredible and I am very grateful to all of them for helping me," she added.
The 43-year-old has twin children, Moroccan and Monroe, with husbandNick Cannon.
She is now raring to go.
"When people expected me to go, `Here I am, I`m back and everything`s great`, it didn`t happen because my hand was still in tremendous pain and it took this long for it to heal.
"I`ve been working day and night, and it took a lot of rest (though I did sneak in to the studio a couple o` times!) but I can finally say that I am on my way to a full recovery," she said.

The 49-year-old admits the lonely sessions took a serious toll on her mental health, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Director Alfonso Cuaron had to keep a close eye on her to ensure she didn`t lose her cool and he used her son, Louis, to cheer her up whenever he felt she needed a boost.
"I was depressed, I was angry, I would get so sad because it was a black room, no human contact, they took away sound... `What they did was, Alfonso could see, because he had cameras always on my face, he would be like, `She`s cracking, she`s cracking, go get the kid`," Bullock said on a talk show.
"They`d created this whole wonderland just outside for Louis (to keep him occupied during filming), so they brought him in," she added.

Think of celebrities as our gladiator class: they step into the ring and do all sorts of stuff we'd never dream of doing ourselves. We watch through our fingers when they do, but we never look away. We love them as specimens, powerful in ways we could never be. We love them for being more perfect than we are. But we also love them when they're not.
It's not exactly Schadenfreude, the self-affirmation we feel when someone with every advantage fails. Okay, maybe we did delight in that Britney head-shaving, but there's something else in there, and it's not really about wanting them to feel bad. It's about us feeling good when we forgive them. It's reverse Schadenfreude, if you will, founded in our Puritan past.
So feel free to falter, Kardashians. Steal Taylor's spotlight, Kanye, we totally understand. And yes, Anne Heche, there really is a spaceship waiting to take you to heaven.
Let loose your grip Hollywood. We'll be there to catch you when you fall. And we'll be feeling fantastic about ourselves while we do.

Abraham Lincoln Face-Off: Spielberg vs. The Vampire Hunter

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
It's only natural the Obama presidency would trigger a national re-evaluation of race in America: we now have a counterweight to our shame about slavery. And what better way to articulate it than with tales of The Great Emancipator?
One year after Obama took office, Seth Grahame-Smith's Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter hit the bookshelves. By 2012, the film version of that historical mash-up was released, beating out Steven Spielberg's Lincoln by a few months. The latter was penned by a more intellectual writer, Tony Kushner. It was showered with accolades, and more than doubled the take of its supernatural sibling. Makes sense, when you think about it. A film depicting our higher selves should entail high-culture storytelling. But where the historical version walked us to the edge, the pop version said out loud what we know to be true: slavery is colonial vampirism.
There's no point in being binary, I suppose. Films for the most part are pop culture, even historical ones. So we got to have it both ways, plain spoken and erudite. And why not? We deserve to bask in the story of this significant pivot away from our past.
Personally, I dug the dude with the axe.

No Common Villain: Why Boyd Crowder from 'Justified' Breaks the Mold

Justified
Every drama needs to have a villain. It's what creates friction for the protagonist. Some of the shows make the antagonist so horrible that they might as well be wearing a mustache that they twirl at every opportunity (see every single person Chuck Norris went up against in Walker, Texas Ranger). Justified's Boyd Crowder is no common villain. In fact, he might be the best one on TV or at least in the Top 5.
Walton Goggins is a force of nature when portraying Crowder. People take one look at him and dismiss as him as a country bumpkin, but there's a seething intellect burning behind those eyes. Crowder speaks eloquently and is prone to quoting from the most esoteric works. Not bad for a man who spent a good portion of his life working in a mine (that's how he knows Deputy Marshal Raylan Givens, the show's protagonist; they worked in the same mine). But for all Crowder's veneer of civility, there is a coldness to him, one where he will kill whoever stands in his way, with the same amount of thought given to squashing a bug. He can be laughing and smiling one minute and then be training his gun on you, his eyes dead.
The relationship between Crowder and Givens is partly what makes this show so fascinating. The two men are clearly on the opposite sides of the law, but hold each other in some regard, since both have come to each other's rescue more than once during the show's run. It's going to be fascinating to see what happens in the next season, with Crowder having a chance at a somewhat normal life ripped out from under his feet.
I'm no stranger to Goggins' work, having seen his turn next to Michael Chiklis on The Shield. In fact, one thing I lament is that there would never be a crossover on Breaking Bad. I'd be very curious to see what Crowder would think of Heisenberg.
Funny thing was, Crowder was supposed to die as he did in the short story, "Fire In The Hole," that inspired Justified. I'm glad that the showrunners decided against that

BOLLYWOOD UPDATES

Ratan Rajput reveals the game playing tactics being used in the 'Bigg Boss' house

New Delhi: TV star Ratan Rajput, who became the fourth contestant to get evicted from reality show `Bigg Boss`, is relieved to be out of the house after 28 days as she was finding it hard to survive the politics between the inmates.
The actress says she overestimated her strength but staying in `Bigg Boss` has taught her that she can`t handle fake people and indulge in politics.
"People there had come with a plan. It was uncomfortable for me to stay there because 14 strange people were thrown together and you cannot trust anyone because there are groups. Also, there was a class system as some people (I don`t want to name them) would think they were special because they came from a film family.
"But, I think everyone was equal there as we all were the part of same show. It is not like they were participating in Big Brother," Ratan said in her post exit interview.
Ratan, however, is happy that despite so many fights within the house, she did not face any misbehaviour from anyone, though she is aware that people may have talked badly behind her back.
The actress, who found fame on TV with `Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo` and her `Swayamvar` on TV and subsequent break-up, said she is not a bad person and not very dramatic so when things became difficult for her, she became quiet, which may have been a reason for her exit.
When asked about the new romance between Tanisha and Armaan Kohli, Ratan quipped, "I think they are inspired by Gauhar and Kushal. But Gauhar and Kushal are definitely more than good friends."
She also believes that Armaan, who is gaining the reputation of a bully thanks to his frequent outbursts, is a strong player but Ratan says he and Tanisha are giving everything to stay on top of the game.
Ratan likes the way Kushal is playing the game, which she says is clean as he does not go and gossip about people behind their back. She also finds Gauhar a strong player and wants Shilpa to be among the finalists as she had come to like her.
Andy is another player that Ratan liked.
"I could not understand Andy in the beginning. He is very nice to you but behind your back he will not spare you. However, he would not lie to you and tell you upfront that I said this about you. Once, I understood that, I became friends with him," Ratan said.
As far as Kamya Punjabi, who nominated Ratan, is concerned, Ratan believes that she is bold but not in front of Armaan. Ratan finds Pratusha Banerjee to be a good player because she manages to stay out of things by playing the innocent card.
Asked about her future plan, the actress said, "Right now, I want to stay with my family. I was very scared after I came out of the show as I would feel that cameras are still following me. I need some time to relax.
"I just can`t stop crying, it is such a relief. I decided to participate in the show as I had declined it twice earlier and though there is nothing wrong with the show, the format was too tough for me," she said.

`Raanjhanaa` was a story of a Hindu Banarasi boy falling in love with a Muslim girl and giving away his life for her.
"I feel one way of keeping the romance alive is through films. I think somewhere people have lost faith in love. It feels sad (to) see this as love is an integral part of our life," he said.
`Kolaveri Di`-fame South star Dhanush, who made his Bollywood debut with `Raanjhanaa`, will be working together with Rai again for a film, tentatively from the same genre.

When Amitabh Bachchan went on his knees for Sangeeta Ghosh

Mumbai: In a dramatic, "dream come true" moment for Sangeeta Ghosh, megastar Amitabh Bachchan went down on his knees with a rose in his hand, and recited a dialogue from his movie `Silsila` for the actress on the set of `Kaun Banega Crorepati`.No, it wasn`t real case of `Cheeni Kum` chemistry, but just a demonstration of a romantic proposal that Big B was giving to actor Ruslaan Mumtaz, Sangeeta`s co-star in the show `Kehta Hai Dil...Jee Le Zara`.
Sangeeta and Ruslaan made a special appearance on the show for its Dussehra special episode, which will be aired Sunday.
When the thespian, who turned 71 earlier this week, asked young Ruslaan as to when will his character finally express his feelings to Sangeeta`s character on the show, Ruslaan said: "Sir aapne bol diya hai ab mein jald kar dunga (Now that you have said it, I will do it soon)".
As a test, Big B asked Ruslaan to give a demo of his prospective proposal. He gave Ruslaan a rose, and asked him to go ahead and propose to Sangeeta. But Ruslaan did an unimpressive and immature job.
That is when Big B intervened and said that if this is how a boy will ever propose, the girl will run away. He then took the rose from Ruslaan and went down on his knees and recited a dialogue from the movie `Silsila` and proposed to Sangeeta.
Sangeeta`s happiness knew no bounds and she kept blushing through the entire show, said a source.

The monochrome collection saw peplum dresses, polka dot shirt and trousers, flared skirts, jackets, short satin dresses, trench coats, ball gowns, dinner jackets and tuxedos.

"I was super excited about doing the finale. I hope it went well and with Mr Kapoor walking the ramp, it couldn`t have been better," Ashish said.
The models walked down the stairs set on the ramp to live singing and music by a jazz band.

Review: 'Rush' Is Fueled by Thrilling Action and a Ton of Heart

Rush

At the center of the fast-paced racing film Rush is one of the most bromantic rivalries you'll see on the silver screen this year. Ron Howard directs the film about 1970s Formula 1 rivals James Hunt (a slimmed down Chris Hemsworth delivering as the cool, lady-killing idol) and Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl playing his character with a strict reserve fueled by a repressed aggression). Both men were major stars of their time, and their distinct approaches brewed a competitiveness that proves exhilarating to watch on the big screen, not only during many a thrilling race but also during some chest-to-chest and mind-to-mind confrontations.
The actors approach their roles with an honest investment, revealing a nice chemistry between these apparent opposites who actually come to learn they need one another as badly as they want to beat each other. Both men have their flaws, and Howard is able to balance sympathy for the characters at different moments in the film's unfolding drama to make it difficult to decide who we want to cheer for.
Despite this keen approach to characterization, Howard remains a heavy-handed storyteller. During the violent aftermath of one crash, a racer is carried away on a stretcher with a leg wound. He throws in a lingering shot of a close-up of the wound. You know, just so you might get a peek at what bone he broke in the crash. Howard also establishes Hunt as someone with a vomiting issue; the character throws up at least four times over the course of the movie. Okay, we get it.
Rush
But that tendency to overemphasize detail also makes the racing scenes intensely visceral. From the cars whooshing past the screen to the insides of engines, Howard presents it all. Sometimes these scenes only last seconds as montage sequences, collating the most powerful sounds and images in an abstract but impressionistic manner that transcends narrative. Howard should be commended at how much of this story he can pack into montage. The racing scenes become well-balanced against the drama. Neither personal character development nor racing ever overtakes the narrative to the point that the film feels dull either way.
The heavy-handedness, however, also appears in the sometimes obnoxious, often overwrought score by Hans Zimmer. But that same zealous controlling hand benefits the film’s authentic recreation of the era via production design, makeup, and costumes. During the sweeping aerial views of the race tracks, the production team even seems to get the color pattern of tents and people during the era. The privileged women who surrounded these men (including Olivia Wilde and Natalie Dormer) offer little more than set-dressing, as the film is all about these two men. The one who truly ties all these production elements together, however, is the movie's cinematographer, Anthony Dod Mantle, who previously won an Oscar for his work on Slumdog Millionaire. It is his work that captures the light that virtually transports you to the '70s, whether it shines through the trees or the frizzy, layered hair of the actors.
In the end, it all serves to enhance the relationship between Hunt and Lauda. Howard works it all to heightened effect. Sometimes he oversteps the obvious to inspire some eye rolls, but Howard still proves he knows how to make a thrilling film without forgetting its heart.

Arnold Schwarzenegger not starring in Avatar 2, says studio

London: 20th Century Fox has rubbished reports that Arnold Schwarzenegger has been cast in Avatar 2.

A casting denial is unusual for a studio, suggesting that it is perhaps keen to quash the idea of Schwarzenegger being in the James Cameron sequel.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, 20th Century Fox confirmed he would not be starring, following rumours earlier in the week that he has signed up, Metro.co.uk reported.

Schwarzenegger is soon to return to the Terminator franchise for its fifth outing, and next appears in Escape Plan and The Expendables 3, the latter of which is thought to have just cast Frasier`s Kelsey Grammer

Avatar 2, Avatar 3 and a prequel Avatar 4 are expected to shoot all in one go in 2014.

Kanye West's outrageous demands before show

London: Rapper Kanye West demanded that his dressing room carpet be ironed on the `Later... With Jools Holland` show because it was too bumpy.

The 36-year-old rapper caused a stir on the `Later... With Jools Holland` show after he made a series of outrageous requests before taking to the stage to perform, reported Contactmusic.

After turning up for rehearsals in Maidstone, Kent, the star was less than impressed with his studio set and screamed at staff to tear it down and rebuild it to his original plans, before insisting everything in his dressing room be replaced in the colour white, including the walls, sofa and flowers.

The `Black Skinhead` singer joined the Sting and Kings of Leon on the show, but West was adamant that he and his huge entourage should be given more than half of the 15 dressing rooms available to the performers.

However, he really shocked BBC employees when he asked for his carpet to be flattened out with a heated tool as it was too bumpy for his liking.

"Everybody knew Kanye`s reputation for being a handful, but nobody had heard of a request for a carpet to be ironed before. His entourage took over the studio, even though plenty of other stars were present. Luckily once he got to the performance he was very quiet and unassuming," a source said.

LeAnn Rimes happy with her fuller figure

London: Country star LeAnn Rimes says she is glad to have a `little more meat on her` after being pictured looking incredibly thin in 2011.

The 31-year-old singer has overcome issues with anxiety and stress, which she went to rehab for earlier this year, and is feeling much healthier, reported Contactmusic.

"I look back at those photos and think, `Wow, maybe I was a little thin,` but at the time I didn`t think anything about it. I`m glad to have a little more meat on me now," Rimes said.

Speaking about her stint in rehab, she said, "That was just the way my body was handling the stress. Some people stress-eat and I do the complete opposite. So I chose to take time out in rehab and focus on me."

Rimes, who is married to actor Eddie Cibrian, eats healthily, but also never deprives herself of her favourite foods.

"I love tucking into fish and chips, shepherd`s pie and Wagamamas. I try to eat healthily, but I love food too much to give up on anything. Working out helps me to focus and I love to box," she said.

Breaking Bad executive producer Peter Gould tweeted on Wednesday that the last two episodes of the series, titled "Granite Statea" and "Felina," are going to be a whopping 75 minutes with commercials, 15 minutes longer than the standard episode.
So if you’re watching the Series finale through thick globs of tears and the screen goes black, don’t worry. You didn't black out from the pain, and this isn’t The Sopranos all over again, you just didn’t set your DVR to record the last couple of harrowing minutes. We're betting that Breaking Bad will have a definitive ending, one that will surely shatter the ratings records set by "Ozymandias" as well as your feeble hearts and minds.

“The film is about the journey of an Indian princess who undergoes mental, emotional, spiritual and sexual transformations while she is in pursuit of her husband. Like the book, the film reiterates the essence of love-making, the lack of which creates an incomparable void in one’s life,” said Sherlyn about the film.

After giving us a comprehensive gyaan on India’s ancient sex manual and the story revolving around it, we wondered if Sherlyn puts the knowledge to use with practicality. So which is her favourite position?“On the top always,” revealed Sherlyn.

After posing nude for the Playboy cover Sherlyn maintains that the whole experience at the Playboy mansion has been liberating for the babe. No wonder Sherlyn is opening up on any topic quite freely! Wink wink!

Jon Gosselin is Waiting Tables and Living in a Cabin in the Woods

PARK CITY, UT - JANUARY 22: TV personality Jon Gosselin attends The Film Lounge at House of Hype on January 22, 2010 in Park City, Utah. (Photo by Michael Bezjian/WireImage)From reality star to reality check, Jon Gosselin has hit rock bottom. According to an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Gosselin has gone from living in a $1.3 million mansion to moving into a cabin unequiped with television or Internet. Oh, and he's waiting tables. The former bad boy of TLC (Ed Hardy T-shirts were so bada** in 2008) has stopped partying in Vegas and instead "now (parties) on a different level."

Just a few years ago, Gosselin was living the high life starring on TLC's über-popular Jon & Kate Plus Eight. The show, which was one of the network's most-watched series, was eventually canceled after Jon was allegedly caught cheating on Kate. So, in the typical fashion of reality stars, Jon wrote a tell-all about his ex-wife, got sued for illegally obtaining information for the book, and is now waiting tables in Pennsylvania as he attempts to pay off his legal fees and provide for his eight kids. While this may be seen as a sad decline for the once famous dad, Gosselin insists that he "has no regrets." In fact, Jon claims he likes being a waiter and isn't struggling to make ends meet. Instead, Gosselin revels in being recognized, and claims, "It's fun and I get to talk to people. And they technically already know me, so they're like 'Are you the guy?' I'm like, 'Yeah, I'm the guy.'"
Well kids, this is just one more lesson of why you should stay in school, not star on reality shows, and maybe save some cash before you have eight kids. Also, don't wear Ed Hardy, just don't.

Vivek Oberoi is the new tax defaulter of Bollywood!

Zee Media Bureau/Resham Sengar

New Delhi: After film maker Ram Gopal Varma getting grilled by the Income Tax department for alleged tax evasion a few weeks ago, it is now the turn of film actor Vivek Oberoi. The IT department has sent notice to the ‘Grand Masti’ actor whose accounts have come under the scanner of the hawk eyed taxmen of India recently.

Reportedly, the Mumbai Service Tax department has slapped a recovery notice of a staggering amount of Rs 40 lacs to Vivek Oberoi. But this is not the first time that the IT department has sent the notice to Vivek. The Service Tax Department had already sent two notices to Vivek earlier but in vain.

It seems that Bollywood’s setting an example for the people in India has gone down the drain. Hope the actors now will get a wake-up call to keep their image clean.

Are Hrithik and Suzanne Roshan heading for divorce?

Zee Media Bureau/Resham Sengar

New Delhi: After living a fairytale for more than a decade, buzz has it that Hrithik and Suzanne Roshan are on the verge of calling it quits owing to matrimony issues.

A daily reports that the root of the problem is Hrithik’s “interests out of the home” which of course, have not gone down well with Suzanne. Their differences have grown to such an extent that the couple does not bother about each other now. Earlier it was also reported that Suzanne had moved out of Hrithik’s house and was staying with her parents. Suzanne hush-hush visit and subsequent disappearance from Rakesh Roshan’s birthday party a few days back, raised many eyebrows. Also, her unusual absence from this year’s Ganesh visarjan at the Juhu beach in Mumbai was also worth noticing as she has always made her presence felt with her hubby and in-laws at the Ganpati celebrations every year.

Well, these are surely signs of things falling apart in the Roshan household. Now that ‘Krrish 3’ is gearing for release this year, the whole matter is being kept low key. However, the break-up might be made official once the film hits the theatres. It goes without saying that if this turns out to true, this one is going to be a really sad news for Hrithk-Suzanne admirers.

‘Bigg Boss 7’: VJ Andy the new Imam Siddique for Salman Khan?

Mumbai: Every new edition of reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ has newer controversies to unfold. And the drama acts as a fodder for the voyeur, who relishes every bit of the action that takes place inside the house.

‘Bigg Boss 7’ hosted by Salman Khan is nothing new. Perhaps it may offer more than what was up for grabs in the platter last year with the introduction of the “jannat” and “jahannum” theories.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan befits the role of the host as he is equally popular for being a hot-headed guy with a magnanimous heart. The hunk of the superstar has had memorable yet awkward experiences with contestants on board the show. And Imam Siddique of season 6 had angered the actor a number of times.

If the latest buzz is anything to go by, then VJ Andy’s mannerisms somewhat reflect that of Imam’s.

Apparently, Andy poked fun at Salman after the actor fumbled while announcing the name of another contestant. The ‘Dabangg’ actor had then taken Andy’s reaction in his stride but reportedly lost his cool when the same was aired.

So will Andy be the new recipient of Salman’s anger bursts?

We will have to wait and watch.

'Bigg Boss 7': Did Ajay Devgn ask Salman Khan to take special care of Tanishaa?

Ajay has apparently asked his good friend to take personal care of Tanishaa

As we had reported earlier that Tanishaa Mukerji, who is one among the 15 contestants in Bigg Boss 7 was desperate to get locked inside the glass-walled house. She wanted to give showbiz yet another chance after a failed career in Bollywood.
We had heard that Kajol, Tanuja and Ajay Devgn were not too happy about Tanishaa entering the mad cap house. They were of an opinion that she would be unable to cope with the drama and back-biting in the house.

Considering all this, Ajay Devgn has apparently asked his good friend Salman Khan who happens to be the host of the reality show to take personal care of Tanishaa. Now Sallu being a good friend of Ajay has instructed the production and crew to keep a close eye on Tanishaa and her requirements.

Even on the premiere night, we saw how Tanishaa and VJ Andy were given the responsibility to decide the fate of other housemates that whether they will be on the heaven or the hell section of the house. Well, we wonder was that too due to Ajay’s special request.

All said and done, the bottom line is that Tanishaa will surely get some extra privileges as compared to other housemates. We wonder if the others would tolerate this special treatment…

Costumes did the magic for Deepika in 'Ram Leela'

Mumbai: If she looked gorgeous as a south Indian girl in `Chennai Express`, Deepika Padukone stuns with her latest Gujarati girl avatar in `Ram Leela`. The actress thanks designer Anju Modi because her costumes helped her get into the character in Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s latest directorial venture.

"Anju has done a fabulous job considering this is her first feature film...I felt in the character the minute I wore the clothes. I felt like Leela," said the actress here in an interview.

"I think that is the most important aspect when a designer comes on board. It`s so important to allow the actor to feel like the character," added the actress who also appreciated Modi`s understanding of colours and cuts.

Set in the backdrop of Gujarat, the film is said to be an adaptation of Shakespeare`s epic love story "Romeo and Juliet", which will see Deepika romancing Ranveer Singh when the film comes out Nov 29.

What? Goat named Shah Rukh in Janaki Vishwanathan's debut Hindi film!

Chennai: National award winning filmmaker Janaki Vishwanathan`s first Hindi film `Bakrapur` has an unusual protagonist in the movie- a goat named Shah Rukh but she has brushed off any reference to the Bollywood superstar.

"It has nothing to do with Shah Rukh Khan. You see people have a tendency to name their pet animals after actors or someone they love. The goat is integral to the story so we needed a name for it... Something catchy," Vishwanathan said when asked if it is an attempt to poke fun at Khan.

"You see, the name is just Shah Rukh which literally means face of the Emperor," she added.

Asked if the 47-year-old actor has reacted or tweeted about this, Vishwanathan said she has not come across any comment so far.

"I have great admiration for him and though I have not personally interacted with him, from the interviews he has done, he seems to have a great sense of humour."

Vishwanathan also said that `Bakrapur` is not a take-off on Cyrus Broacha`s MTV programme `Bakra`. It is just an imaginary title, where everyone makes a fool of everybody else.

"The movie is a social-political satire set against the backdrop of rural India. A multi-layered film, it dwells, at the primary level, on the relationship between eight-year-old Zulfi and his pet goat Shah Rukh. It is also a hilarious take on the complex belief systems in our society and the conflicts that ensue thereon," she said.

The 90-minute film, scripted and directed by her, stars Anshuman Jha, Asif Basra, Faiz Khan, Shameen Khan and Suruchi Aulakh.

Vishwanathan has earlier made four films, three in Tamil. The first film `Kutty` released in 2001 won her two National awards. She did `Kanavu Mei Pada Vaendum` in 2004 and then `Om Obama` seven years later.

Each movie dealt with social issues. `Kutty` focused on child labour while `Kanavu Meipada Vendum` reflected the plight of the devadasi women.
`Om Obama`, about a fictional village in Tamil Nadu and the relationship the hamlet believes it shares with US President Barack Obama, was completed two years ago, but is yet to hit theatres.

The journalist-turned-filmmaker acknowledged that it is difficult to get distributors for these type of movies including `Bakrapur`.

"`Bakrapur` does not have any item number or any masala associated with commercial films. It is tough to get distributors. Not very easy but the trend, I believe, has been changing over the past one year. The climate is changing. I am keeping my fingers crossed," she said.

"I am not focusing on getting awards or film festivals. I just pick up a subject that catches my fancy and work on it."
There are two songs in the movie and has been composed by `Agnee`, a Mumbai-based rock music band.
The movie is expected to hit theatres by year end and they are busy with the final post production work. Vishwanathan also said that they are also planing a peppy promotional song.

Anurag, Abhinav very different filmmakers: Ranbir Kapoor

Mumbai: Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is working with Anurag Kashyap in ‘Bombay Velvet’ and who has worked with the latter`s brother Abhinav Kashyap in ‘Besharam’, says both the filmmakers differ in their working styles.

"Both of them are very different filmmakers. I am doing a light film with Abhinav in `Besharam`, while Anurag`s `Bombay Velvet` is an intense film," Ranbir said.

‘Besharam’ will witness Ranbir in a street smart role and in "Bombay Velvet", he says he plays a boxer.

"In `Bombay Velvet`, I play an intense character. I am playing boxer. It`s about the 1950s and 1960s. We have already shot for 50 per cent of `Bombay Velvet`. We shot in Sri Lanka. It is an interesting character and an interesting film," said Ranbir, who features in the movie with Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar.

Ranbir is happy to experiment with his roles.

"I am testing myself, but if I don`t try, then there is no fun. I want to break my image and shock the audience. Abhinav wanted to make a simple film. My character is very loud and I have experimented again to do some different genre.

"The audience might slap me and say do films like `Barfi!`, but if I don`t try, how will I get to know," the 30-year-old said.

‘Besharam’, which also features Ranbir`s actor parents Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, will release Oct 2.

Dilip Kumar improving, stop spreading rumours: Friend

Mumbai: Udaya Tara Nayar, actor Dilip Kumar`s close friend, said Thursday he is improving and urged people to desist from spreading rumours about him.

"He is better and his health is improving steadily. He is still in the ICU (intensive care unit), but he is fine," Nayar said.

Dilip Kumar was admitted Sunday evening to the Lilavati Hospital after he complained of uneasiness. Doctors later diagnosed a heart attack.

Nayar requested people not to spread rumours about the thespian, known as one of the greatest actors of Indian cinema.

"For the past few days I have been getting some negative news. Please, stop spreading these kinds of dirty rumours," said Nayar, who also shared a picture of the actor.

Nayar informed that the 90-year-old`s wife and yesteryear actress Saira Banu is by his side all the time.

"Saira has been such a great human being, she is always by his side and praying for him. She does so much for him, she is such a good wife and she has a lot of self-confidence," he said.

Also knonw as Tragedy King, Dilip Kumar was active on the big screen for six decades and from playing the lead roles in films like ‘Jwar Bhata’ ‘Mela’, ‘Naya Daur’, ‘Tarana’, ‘Ganga Jamuna’, ‘Leader’ and ‘Mughal-E-Azam’. Later he got into character roles with elan in ‘Shakti’, ‘Karma’ and ‘Saudagar’.

Post ‘Quila’ in 1998, he decided to retire and since he has been away from the grease paint and arclight.

HOLLYWOOD NEWS UPDATES

Miley Cyrus Breaks Up with Liam Hemsworth For Sexting

UPDATE: Both Cyrus and Hemswort's reps have confirmed the news exclusively to People: the engagement has officially been called off.
EARLIER: We couldn't usher in the autumn without the traditional breaking up of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemswoth. The time-honored tradition has become sacrosanct practice in contemporary society, alike in spirit and accountability to the changing of the leaves' colors or the shifting of the nature of television from esteemed drama to subpar comedy. Once again, the rumors are afoot: E! reports from an unnamed source that Cyrus and Hemsworth are splitting after four years (on and off) together.
According to the reports, it was 20-year-old Cyrus who terminated the relationship, having determined Hemsworth, 23, to be guilty of infidelity. Some yet unsubstantiated details point to Hemsworth's involvement in a concord of sexting with Mad Men's own January Jones. Let this be a reminder: Sexting is cheating. The lamest kind of cheating, but cheating nonetheless.
Although the news is only budding now, reports add that Hemsworth was conspicuously absent during Cyrus' performance of "We Can't Stop" at the 2013 Video Music Awards. Granted, this could simply be chalked up to the fact that he had a notion of what she was going to do onstage and decided, instead, to be anywhere else. Oh yeah, and Cyrus stopped following Hemsworth on Twitter over the weekend — which is, like, huge.

Nina Davuluri Crowned Miss America

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ - SEPTEMBER 15: Miss America 2014 contestant Miss New York Nina Davuluri is crowned 2014 Miss America by 2013 Miss America Mallory Hagan during the Miss America Competition at Boardwalk Hall Arena on September 15, 2013 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. (Photo by Donald Kravitz/Getty Images)

Miss New York Nina Davuluri was crowned Miss America at Sunday night's pageant. Davuluri was the first Indian-American woman to be awarded the crown, and one of only a handful of minority winners in nearly 100 contests. While some people continue to be terrible (if you're a glutton for punishment, BussFeed collected a handful of the worst) and were up in arms that a blonde Middle American wasn't elected winner, the judges determined that Davuluri's Bollywood dance and thoughtful response to the question of plastic surgery were enough to give her the crown. Oh, and the fact that she's incredibly beautiful. That probably factored that in as well.
But beyond hateful tweets and messages (seriously, have people always been this awful?), Davuluri has been plagued by a controvery of her own making in the days leading up to the competition. After winning the title of Miss New York, Davuluri celebrated with a few friends in her hotel room, where a "source" for Page Six heard her trash-talking 2013 Miss America and former Miss New York Mallory Hagan. Hopefully she saves some of that smackdown for the haters who will have to learn to live with a Miss America that challenges their limited perspectives on what it means to be American.

Get Ready for Britney’s Zillionth Comeback, It's Going To Be Fierce

Pop queen Britney Spears hit the stage in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for the final show in her Femme Fatale tour just days after her 30th birthday, and gives the fans a show to remember. She also gave a lap dance to Jersey Shore star DJ Pauly D, who has been opening some of the shows in her tour.
Pictured: Britney Spears
Ref: SPL342340 101211
Picture by: Primerahora.com / Splash News

Splash News and Pictures
Los Angeles: 310-821-2666
New York: 212-619-2666
London: 870-934-2666
photodesk@splashnews.com

Britney fans, unite — our leader is back. Britney Spears has been making quite the noise these past couple of days and it's starting to sound like she's ready to claw her way back to the top of musical and celebrity fame. Her new single, "Work Bitch," leaked online this weekend, a couple days ahead of its planned release date and, frankly, it's everything we wanted it to be and more.
And that's not all the Britney news — TMZ has reported that Spears is rumored to take Las Vegas by storm for a two-year stint at Planet Hollywood that is Set to earn her 30$ million. (Does anyone else think that this is actually kind of low and that she deserves way more?)
Spears has had approximately a gazillion comebacks since her peak of popgirl fame, but that's okay with us. Spears isn't just a singer who's come and gone and is now pathetically trying to get noticed again; she's a pop icon who deserves every shred of attention she receives. She's Britney, bitch. She might not have made as many waves as she would have liked with her 2011 album Femme Fatale, but this time Spears is ready for a full-on war to recapture the hearts of America. And you know what? I think she's ready to win this time.

Not only was her new single "accidentally" leaked (let's be real, everyone needs a little bit of scandal to get noticed) and her epic Vegas residency unofficially announced within days of each other, but she's taken to Instragram to reveal her smokin' bod for her new music video. With moves like these, she's letting us know that she's still here and that she's ready to pounce on the pop queen crown that is rightfully hers. Britney, we're ready for all you can throw our way.

Lorde Of The Teen Pop Stars

BYRON BAY, AUSTRALIA - JULY 28: Lorde performs for fans on day 3 of the 2013 Splendour In The Grass Festival on July 28, 2013 in Byron Bay, Australia. (Photo by Mark Metcalfe/Getty Images)

Currently sitting pretty at No. 3 on the US Hot 100, New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde appears to have come from nowhere to score one of the most addictive and yet effortlessly cool songs of the summer. With a debut album, Punk Heroine, due for release on September 27, here’s a look at some of the things you need to know about Ella Yelich-O'Connor.

She signed to Universal aged just 13Spotted by an A&R scout following a talent show performance at her Auckland school, Lorde signed to Universal on a development deal aged just 13 and has spent the last three years juggling her school commitments with writing her own material.

She's obsessed with royaltyAs well as naming her breakthrough hit "Royals," Lorde's moniker was also inspired by her love of the aristocracy: “When I was trying to come up with a stage name, I thought ‘Lord' was super rad, but really masculine—ever since I was a little kid, I have been really into royals. So to make Lord more feminine, I just put an ‘e' on the end! Some people think it's religious, but it's not.

She likes but can't relate to Lana Del ReyDespite professing a love for the likes of Drake, Nicki Minaj and Lana Del Rey, Lorde has revealed that "Royals" is actually a reaction to the 'opulence' and 'bullsh*t' that such artists regularly refer to in their music.

She's a superstar in New Zealand
Lorde is already on her way to achieving pop royalty status in her New Zealand homeland. Both "Royals" and "Tennis Court" debuted at No.1 on the country’s Top 40 chart, the former of which has already received the cover version treatment on The X-Factor, while she and co-writer Joel Little have recently been shortlisted for industry award The Silver Scroll.

She's the new Tracy Bonham"Royals" recently topped the Billboard Alternative Songs chart, making her the first female artist to do so since angsty singer-violinist Tracy Bonham back in 1996, the same year Lorde was born.

She has a sick Frank Ocean to thank for her Australian big breakDespite conquering her homeland, she was still an unknown in neighbouring Australia until Frank Ocean pulled out of the Splendour In The Grass festival in July over a career-threatening vocal cord injury, allowing last-minute replacement Lorde to wow the crowds with a typically self-assured set.

She makes Victoria Beckham look overly smileyDon't expect to see her flashing her teeth too often. The permanently sultry musician has admitted that she hates smiling and prefers to spend her life 'looking fierce' in photos.

Nicole Kidman Saves a Nation by Being Beautiful and Rich in 'Grace of Monaco' Trailer

Nicole Kidman becomes royalty in the dazzling trailer for Oliver Dahan's newest film Grace of Monaco, which recounts the glamor and turmoil that encompased the real-life reign of Grace Kelly, Hollywood starlet turned Princess of Monaco. Instead of taking form as a biopic about Kelly's entire life, the film will only focus on the few years during which Kelly helped ease tensions between France and Monaco. This is welcome news because biopics that try to throw a person's entire life on screen usually become terribly unweildly in the process. Think of how bad The Social Network would have been if we had to watch Mark Zuckeburg manipulate his third grade classmates out of their juiceboxes.

Grace of Monaco, Nicole KidmanThe Weinstein Company
The trailer is beautifully shot and exudes a certain elegance. There is a essence of royalty that lingers in every scene as we see Kidman's Grace traipse down long hallways or attend fancy dinners, bathed in rich yellow light. Even though the film boasts an impressive cast, featuring actors like Frank Langella, Parker Posey, Tim Roth, Derek Jacobi and Milo Ventimiglia, this short teaser only focuses on Kidman with a voiceover promising that the world will never forget who Grace Kelly is and what she has done. We hope Kidman's newest film is good, because we'd all like to forget Austrailia ever happened.
