HOLLYWOOD UPDATES

Liam Hemsworth still finds Miley Cyrus hot

Los Angeles: Actor Liam Hemsworth has reportedly praised his ex-fiancee, pop star Miley Cyrus, saying she looks hot in her latest music video `Wrecking Ball`.

The 23-year-old has admitted to her friends that Cyrus looks very attractive in the video, in which she appears naked, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"He has seen the `Wrecking Ball` video and thought it was pretty hot because he finds Miley attractive. But it isn`t anything that will make him return to her, that ship has sailed," a source said.
Cyrus recently opened up about parting ways with the Australian actor, claiming she no longer thinks about him.
The duo, who started dating each other after meeting on the set of their 2010 movie `The Last Song`, confirmed their split last month.

Charlie Hunnam is too busy for eroticism

Los Angeles: Actor Charlie Hunnam has dropped out of the big screen adaptation of E L James`s bestselling erotic novel, `Fifty Shades of Grey, just weeks after being cast in the role of Christian Grey.

The 33-year-old actor, who had been chosen to play the billionaire in the much-awaited adaptation, backed out of the movie due to scheduling conflicts, said the Hollywood Reporter.
"The filmmakers of `Fifty Shades of Grey` and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam`s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey," Universal Pictures said in a statement.
Universal and Focus Features` adaptation, is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson. Actress Dakota Johnson, would be playing Grey`s love interest, Anastasia Steele.
`Sons of Anarchy` star`s TV production was to reportedly end on October 21 and the movie production was set to start in November.
Another reason cited for Hunnam`s exit is the hype created around the casting.
"He was overwhelmed with the attention he received from being cast in the movie and got cold feet about carrying such a high-profile project," a source said.
"Universal was forced to hire bodyguards for the actor at a recent `Sons of Anarchy` premiere, where questions about Fifty Shades dominated the red carpet," the source added.

Recovering from injury atoughest' experience for Mariah Carey

Los Angeles: Singer Mariah Carey, who suffered a serious injury in July, says recovering from her dislocated shoulder has been the "toughest experience" of her life.

The `Beautiful` hitmaker was injured while she was shooting a music video for a remix to her hit song. It has been a long road to recovery since.
She shared her ordeal via a candid letter on her page on social networking site Facebook, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"The last three months of my life have not been easy. Getting through this injury has been the toughest experience of my life. It took me three months to get to this point but thank god I was able to recover and get my arm back," posted Carey.
She says the recovery has been rather quick, and she has thanked her therapists for it.
"It`s a huge deal. It should have taken eight months and even my doctors can`t believe it. It`s been a long journey, the physical therapists have been incredible and I am very grateful to all of them for helping me," she added.
The 43-year-old has twin children, Moroccan and Monroe, with husbandNick Cannon.
She is now raring to go.
"When people expected me to go, `Here I am, I`m back and everything`s great`, it didn`t happen because my hand was still in tremendous pain and it took this long for it to heal.
"I`ve been working day and night, and it took a lot of rest (though I did sneak in to the studio a couple o` times!) but I can finally say that I am on my way to a full recovery," she said.
She will release make a comeback by releasing a new studio album, which she says is one of the "most important" records she`s ever made.

Sandra Bullock battled depression during 'Gravity' shoot

Los Angeles: While shooting for space drama `Gravity`, actress Sandra Bullock suffered serious bouts of depression as she was locked in an isolation tank for 10 hours at a time.

The 49-year-old admits the lonely sessions took a serious toll on her mental health, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Director Alfonso Cuaron had to keep a close eye on her to ensure she didn`t lose her cool and he used her son, Louis, to cheer her up whenever he felt she needed a boost.
"I was depressed, I was angry, I would get so sad because it was a black room, no human contact, they took away sound... `What they did was, Alfonso could see, because he had cameras always on my face, he would be like, `She`s cracking, she`s cracking, go get the kid`," Bullock said on a talk show.
"They`d created this whole wonderland just outside for Louis (to keep him occupied during filming), so they brought him in," she added.

Kendall Jenner slips into bikini for Agua Bendita

When Hollywood Goes Wild: the (Sometimes Criminal) Celebrity Gladiators We Love

Actress Lindsay Lohan and attorney Mark Heller appear at a hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court. Day one of the trial of Lindsay Lohan in Los Angeles, California. The troubled actress faces charges of lying to a police officer about a car crash involving her Porsche. Lohan allegedly denied she was at the wheel when the incident took place in June (12). She also faces charges of reckless driving and violating her probation for a previous shoplifting conviction. If found guilty, she faces a jail term of up to 245 days behind bars. Think of celebrities as our gladiator class: they step into the ring and do all sorts of stuff we'd never dream of doing ourselves. We watch through our fingers when they do, but we never look away. We love them as specimens, powerful in ways we could never be. We love them for being more perfect than we are. But we also love them when they're not.
It's not exactly Schadenfreude, the self-affirmation we feel when someone with every advantage fails. Okay, maybe we did delight in that Britney head-shaving, but there's something else in there, and it's not really about wanting them to feel bad. It's about us feeling good when we forgive them. It's reverse Schadenfreude, if you will, founded in our Puritan past.
So feel free to falter, Kardashians. Steal Taylor's spotlight, Kanye, we totally understand. And yes, Anne Heche, there really is a spaceship waiting to take you to heaven.
Let loose your grip Hollywood. We'll be there to catch you when you fall. And we'll be feeling fantastic about ourselves while we do.

Abraham Lincoln Face-Off: Spielberg vs. The Vampire Hunter

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
It's only natural the Obama presidency would trigger a national re-evaluation of race in America: we now have a counterweight to our shame about slavery. And what better way to articulate it than with tales of The Great Emancipator?
One year after Obama took office, Seth Grahame-Smith's Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter hit the bookshelves. By 2012, the film version of that historical mash-up was released, beating out Steven Spielberg's Lincoln by a few months. The latter was penned by a more intellectual writer, Tony Kushner. It was showered with accolades, and more than doubled the take of its supernatural sibling. Makes sense, when you think about it. A film depicting our higher selves should entail high-culture storytelling. But where the historical version walked us to the edge, the pop version said out loud what we know to be true: slavery is colonial vampirism.
There's no point in being binary, I suppose. Films for the most part are pop culture, even historical ones. So we got to have it both ways, plain spoken and erudite. And why not? We deserve to bask in the story of this significant pivot away from our past.
Personally, I dug the dude with the axe.

No Common Villain: Why Boyd Crowder from 'Justified' Breaks the Mold

Justified
Every drama needs to have a villain. It's what creates friction for the protagonist. Some of the shows make the antagonist so horrible that they might as well be wearing a mustache that they twirl at every opportunity (see every single person Chuck Norris went up against in Walker, Texas Ranger). Justified's Boyd Crowder is no common villain. In fact, he might be the best one on TV or at least in the Top 5.
Walton Goggins is a force of nature when portraying Crowder. People take one look at him and dismiss as him as a country bumpkin, but there's a seething intellect burning behind those eyes. Crowder speaks eloquently and is prone to quoting from the most esoteric works. Not bad for a man who spent a good portion of his life working in a mine (that's how he knows Deputy Marshal Raylan Givens, the show's protagonist; they worked in the same mine). But for all Crowder's veneer of civility, there is a coldness to him, one where he will kill whoever stands in his way, with the same amount of thought given to squashing a bug. He can be laughing and smiling one minute and then be training his gun on you, his eyes dead.
The relationship between Crowder and Givens is partly what makes this show so fascinating. The two men are clearly on the opposite sides of the law, but hold each other in some regard, since both have come to each other's rescue more than once during the show's run. It's going to be fascinating to see what happens in the next season, with Crowder having a chance at a somewhat normal life ripped out from under his feet.
I'm no stranger to Goggins' work, having seen his turn next to Michael Chiklis on The Shield. In fact, one thing I lament is that there would never be a crossover on Breaking Bad. I'd be very curious to see what Crowder would think of Heisenberg.
Funny thing was, Crowder was supposed to die as he did in the short story, "Fire In The Hole," that inspired Justified. I'm glad that the showrunners decided against that

BOLLYWOOD UPDATES

Ratan Rajput reveals the game playing tactics being used in the 'Bigg Boss' house

New Delhi: TV star Ratan Rajput, who became the fourth contestant to get evicted from reality show `Bigg Boss`, is relieved to be out of the house after 28 days as she was finding it hard to survive the politics between the inmates.
The actress says she overestimated her strength but staying in `Bigg Boss` has taught her that she can`t handle fake people and indulge in politics.
"People there had come with a plan. It was uncomfortable for me to stay there because 14 strange people were thrown together and you cannot trust anyone because there are groups. Also, there was a class system as some people (I don`t want to name them) would think they were special because they came from a film family.
"But, I think everyone was equal there as we all were the part of same show. It is not like they were participating in Big Brother," Ratan said in her post exit interview.
Ratan, however, is happy that despite so many fights within the house, she did not face any misbehaviour from anyone, though she is aware that people may have talked badly behind her back.
The actress, who found fame on TV with `Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo` and her `Swayamvar` on TV and subsequent break-up, said she is not a bad person and not very dramatic so when things became difficult for her, she became quiet, which may have been a reason for her exit.
When asked about the new romance between Tanisha and Armaan Kohli, Ratan quipped, "I think they are inspired by Gauhar and Kushal. But Gauhar and Kushal are definitely more than good friends."
She also believes that Armaan, who is gaining the reputation of a bully thanks to his frequent outbursts, is a strong player but Ratan says he and Tanisha are giving everything to stay on top of the game.
Ratan likes the way Kushal is playing the game, which she says is clean as he does not go and gossip about people behind their back. She also finds Gauhar a strong player and wants Shilpa to be among the finalists as she had come to like her.
Andy is another player that Ratan liked.
"I could not understand Andy in the beginning. He is very nice to you but behind your back he will not spare you. However, he would not lie to you and tell you upfront that I said this about you. Once, I understood that, I became friends with him," Ratan said.
As far as Kamya Punjabi, who nominated Ratan, is concerned, Ratan believes that she is bold but not in front of Armaan. Ratan finds Pratusha Banerjee to be a good player because she manages to stay out of things by playing the innocent card.
Asked about her future plan, the actress said, "Right now, I want to stay with my family. I was very scared after I came out of the show as I would feel that cameras are still following me. I need some time to relax.
"I just can`t stop crying, it is such a relief. I decided to participate in the show as I had declined it twice earlier and though there is nothing wrong with the show, the format was too tough for me," she said.

"I was called for the look test and finally I got selected. It was a dream come true for me. After the show, I want people to remember me as the onscreen Buddha," he added.
To be aired on Zee TV, `Buddha` is being made my industrialist B.K. Modi.
After being shortlisted, the 24-year-old claims that he started doing his homework.

With a degree in M.Com from the University of Rajasthan, he wanted to pursue further studies, but couldn`t resist the temptation to wear grease paint and face the camera.

'Raanjhanaa' director coming up with another romantic film with Dhanush

Mumbai: Director Anand L Rai, whose `Raanjhanaa` generated good response at the box office, is coming up with another romantic film and is currently working on the script.
"I am working on a script right now. It`s completely original. It is a romantic film but I cannot reveal the story and the plot line now. I hope by Diwali, I would be in a position to talk about the project," Rai said.
`Raanjhanaa` was a story of a Hindu Banarasi boy falling in love with a Muslim girl and giving away his life for her.
"I feel one way of keeping the romance alive is through films. I think somewhere people have lost faith in love. It feels sad (to) see this as love is an integral part of our life," he said.
`Kolaveri Di`-fame South star Dhanush, who made his Bollywood debut with `Raanjhanaa`, will be working together with Rai again for a film, tentatively from the same genre.
"We are definitely working together. This will also be a romantic film. But I haven`t started working on this film yet," Rai said.
His another project is the sequel to 2011 romcom `Tanu Weds Manu`. However, Rai did not elaborate.

When Amitabh Bachchan went on his knees for Sangeeta Ghosh

Mumbai: In a dramatic, "dream come true" moment for Sangeeta Ghosh, megastar Amitabh Bachchan went down on his knees with a rose in his hand, and recited a dialogue from his movie `Silsila` for the actress on the set of `Kaun Banega Crorepati`.No, it wasn`t real case of `Cheeni Kum` chemistry, but just a demonstration of a romantic proposal that Big B was giving to actor Ruslaan Mumtaz, Sangeeta`s co-star in the show `Kehta Hai Dil...Jee Le Zara`.
Sangeeta and Ruslaan made a special appearance on the show for its Dussehra special episode, which will be aired Sunday.
When the thespian, who turned 71 earlier this week, asked young Ruslaan as to when will his character finally express his feelings to Sangeeta`s character on the show, Ruslaan said: "Sir aapne bol diya hai ab mein jald kar dunga (Now that you have said it, I will do it soon)".
As a test, Big B asked Ruslaan to give a demo of his prospective proposal. He gave Ruslaan a rose, and asked him to go ahead and propose to Sangeeta. But Ruslaan did an unimpressive and immature job.
That is when Big B intervened and said that if this is how a boy will ever propose, the girl will run away. He then took the rose from Ruslaan and went down on his knees and recited a dialogue from the movie `Silsila` and proposed to Sangeeta.
Sangeeta`s happiness knew no bounds and she kept blushing through the entire show, said a source.

'La Dolce Vita': Anil Kapoor walks the ramp for Ashish N Soni at WIFW finale

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor turned show stopper for designer Ashish N Soni`s finale titled `La Dolce Vita` at the Wills Lifestyle India fashion week.
The actor looked dapper in a white shirt paired with a dinner jacket as he sashayed down the ramp, a bright red multilevel stage set reminiscent of an Opera theatre.
"This might come as a surprise but much before I became an actor, I modelled. I had walked down the ramp for late Mr Dhirubai Ambani for a travel show...And later became an actor," Anil said.
The monochrome collection saw peplum dresses, polka dot shirt and trousers, flared skirts, jackets, short satin dresses, trench coats, ball gowns, dinner jackets and tuxedos.
The fabrics used by Ashish were mostly satin and silk.
"I was super excited about doing the finale. I hope it went well and with Mr Kapoor walking the ramp, it couldn`t have been better," Ashish said.
The models walked down the stairs set on the ramp to live singing and music by a jazz band.
`La Dolce Vita`, in English means `The Sweet Life`, and was a 1960 comedy-drama film written and directed by the critically acclaimed director Federico Fellini.
The movie was a story of a passive journalist`s week in Rome, and his search for both happiness and love that will never come.
It had won the Palme d`Or (Golden Palm) at the 1960 Cannes Film Festival and the Oscar for Best Costumes.

HOLLYWOOD UPDATES

Miley Cyrus offered $1 mn to direct adult film

Washington: Suzanne Somers has revealed that she has a perfectly active sex life after 40, adding that she and her husband, Alan Hamel, still have sex twice a day.
Los Angeles: Singer Miley Cyrus has been reportedly offered $1 million by officials of an adult film company to direct a movie for them.

Adult retailer GameLink is not asking Cyrus to strip naked, but they definitely want to get her elbow-deep in a s*x scene from the director`s chair, reports tmz.com.
The company reportedly sent a letter to Cyrus Wednesday, offering her $1 million to don the director`s hat and for having full creative control on a project.
However, Cyrus did not respond to the news.
Cyrus recently featured naked in her latest track ‘Wrecking ball’ and she also received negative comments for twerking with singer Robin Thicke on stage during a stage performance.

Suzanne Somers reveals having sex twice a day with hubby

The 66-year-old actress said on `The Talk Show` that Hamel is on hormones and she is on hormones, People magazine reported.

Somers said that they have pretty busy mornings as she is really awake around eight or so.

I'm straight, but could get drawn to men: Josh Hutcherson

Los Angeles: Actor Josh Hutcherson has revealed that he could be attracted to men and keeps an open mind about dating.

Femalefirst.co.uk reports that the actor told Out magazine that he considers himself to be "mostly straight" but can`t dismiss the possibility of getting attracted to a guy in the future.
"Maybe I could say right now I`m 100 percent straight. But who knows? In a f**king year, I could meet a guy and be like, `Whoa! I`m attracted to this person`," Hutcherson said.
"I`ve met guys all the time that I`m like, `Damn, that`s a good-looking guy,` you know? I`ve never been, like, `Oh, I want to kiss that guy.` I really love women. But I think defining yourself as 100 per cent anything is kind of near sighted and close minded," added the 21-year-old.
The actor is presently rumoured to be dating his `Paradise Lost` co-star Claudia Traisac.

I am taking Christian Grey role seriously: Charlie Hunnam

Los Angeles: Actor Charlie Hunnam says he would be working hard to portray the Christian Grey role in the movie adaptation of E L James` erotic novel `Fifty Shades of Grey`.

While the 33-year-old actor plays the billionaire, actress Dakota Johnson would be seen essaying the role Anastasia Steele, who falls for him, reported E!Online.
"I`m taking it (role) very seriously and intend to explore the nature of who this character is, what motivates him? and also dress up nice and look good in those suits," Hunnam said.
Many fans of the popular series were disappointed with the casting news as it had failed to meet their expectations.
The actor, however, seemed less perturbed with the reactions.
"There are so many fans of that book and I know that on the surface, I`m probably not what everybody imagined," he said.
"Because reading is so personal and people bring a character to life in their imagination, they feel ownership over that character," he added.
Universal and Focus Features` forthcoming adaptation, is being directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and produced by Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti alongside author James.

Real Life Vampire 101: A Website for Vamps in Training

Vampire bars and more in "Real Life Vampire 101: The Website for Vamps in Training"
Figuring out who you are in the world can be daunting. Unless you're a vamp, in which case you pretty much know how you got where you are. But even the undead need a little advice now and then. So until someone makes a app for that, there is vampirewebsite.net.

Warning: the site is not for poser vamps. It's the real skinny for creatures of the night trying to locate vamp-friendly bars in their city, or who want tips on identifying a real vampire and pointers on how to tell friends and family about their predilection. There are even vampire jokes to break the ice when you do, although they're nowhere near as amusing as the tutorial about the dividing line between real vamps and energy vamps.
Best of all is the letter from a real life slayer who explains the complex web of rules and regulations regarding this somewhat arcane matter. It’s a testimonial from a pal of the site's owner, who luckily didn't off our host. That would've been a stake to the undead body politic, for sure.

The Best 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' Episodes On Netflix

Some of the most unforgettable episode of 'Buffy' streaming on Netflix
Let’s be honest. If we really attempted to list every single awesome, must-watch Buffy The Vampire Slayer episode, there’d be at least 30 episodes and they’d all deserve a spot. But with Halloween right around the corner we decided to keep it simple and  focus on a few of the most holiday-appropriate, classic BTVS episodes to stream from Netflix. Granted, any Buffy episode is technically, seasonally appropriate, but these are some of our favorites.

Hush
This Emmy-nominated episode introduced us all to The Gentleman. The creepy-looking, voice-snatching demons showed up in Sunnydale one day many years ago, but in 2013 they still haunt our dreams.

The Wish
There’s not a Buffy fan alive who didn’t fall madly in love with Vampire Willow. When Cordelia wished that Buffy had never been born, Sunnydale transformed into an alternate universe run by vamps, including one insanely hot, bad-ass Willow.

Earshot
After an encounter with a demon, Buffy develops the ability to read thoughts. And while this proved to be pretty hilarious – and awkward – when she got around the Scooby gang, the best part of the episode was when she learned that her mother and Giles had truly and actually done the deed of all deeds. Who can forget that moment at the end of the episode where Buffy tells Giles that she’d love to do some training later, as long as he wasn’t too busy having sex with her mother?! Classic.

Bad Girls
Sunnydale was never the same once Slayer Number Two AKA Faith came into town. But one of the best episodes featuring actress Eliza Dushku was this one; Buffy got all bad-ass and slayer-naughty (stealing weapons and such), and Faith...well, killed a man. Want, take, have was the name of the game and seeing Buffy go kinda bad for a minute actually felt pretty good.

Homecoming
Cordelia and Buffy battling it out for Homecoming Queen, and then side-by-side in a super-scary forest while the creepiest demons ever put on Slayerfest ‘98? All kinds of awesome.

Buffy vs. Dracula

This episode where Dracula – the vampire of all vampires – comes into town was just tops. It could have easily been corny, but Joss Whedon doesn’t do corny, and the epic showdown between the Slayer and the Dark Prince was pretty unforgettable. Plus, Xander as the hilarious Renfield-esque character was so fun, and so appropriate. Definitely a must-watch BTVS episode for Halloweentime.
Fall TV Ratings Check: The Broadcast Network Edition

What's the Beef? Celebrity Feuds That Nobody Saw Coming

It seems like knowing someone is not a prerequisite for feuding when you're famous. Many celebrities have started feuds with each other through the press or social media and have never actually met in person. Some may know each other, but come from completely different circles, so it's just as random when one starts beef with the other. But it's only fair for celebrities to criticize other celebrities, just like us commoners do. The only difference is that their opinions are heard by all, which certainly makes it more entertaining for the rest of us. Here are five totally random celebrity feuds we never would have expected.
Miley Cyrus vs. Sinead O'Connor
This one started out harmlessly enough. Miley Cyrus cited Sinead O'Connor's "Nothing Compares 2 U" video as the inspiration for her "Wrecking Ball" video. But O'Connor just couldn't resist an opportunity to bash the music industry. After an open letter to the 21-year-old pop singer advising her to not be a "prostitute" for the industry, Miley fired back with a tweet mocking the Irish singer's mental illness. That's when the floodgates opened, resulting in two more letters, several more tweets, and O'Connor threatening legal action. In the end, the feud lost steam and both have publicly buried the hatchet.
Kanye West vs. Jimmy Kimmel
Jimmy Kimmel was all too happy to "finally be in a rap feud." Kanye West, however, did not take it as lightly. After the late-night host made a parody of Kanye's very personal interview with BBC Radio 1, Kanye went on one of his infamous Twitter tirades, spewing insults at Kimmel in all caps. The rapper allegedly even called Kimmel, warning him that he was "the most powerful voice in media." I guess that's true, if you consider his Twitter followers to be the media. Kanye has since deleted the tweets, which is the closest thing to an apology we can hope for from him.
Justin Bieber vs. Vanilla Ice
Nothng like an embittered one-hit wonder talking smack on today's hottest act. Vanilla Ice recently told The Huffington Post that Justin Bieber will "be forgotten...it's going to be entertaining to watch." I would be careful if I were you, Mr. Ice, because I'm going to bet that Justin Bieber's fan army is probably slightly larger than yours. Vanilla Ice has since denied the comments, and explains that, in fact, he meant the exact opposite.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck vs. Barry Manilow
In 2007, Barry Manilow was scheduled to perform on The View, but felt compelled to voice his opinions on one of the hosts, Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The "Mandy" singer called her political views "dangerous and offensive." The show's producers reportedly pulled the plug on his performance after he refused to appear unless Hasselbeck took the day off.
The Kardashians vs. Jon Hamm and Daniel Craig
Looks like the Kardashians' biggest fans are not Hollywood's dashing leading men. In fact, both Jon Hamm and Daniel Craig have coincidentally called the sisters "f*****g idiots." It seems like both take issue with the fact that celebrities become famous not for a craft but for flaunting their personal lives for the world to see. Craig told GQ, "Look at the Kardashians, they're worth millions....You see that and you think 'what, you mean all I have to do is behave like a f*****g idiot on television and then you'll pay me millions?'" Sadly, in this day and age, it seems like a winning formula.

Miley Cyrus Will Perform At the 2013 American Music Awards

Good news for fans of twerking: Miley Cyrus is set to perform at this year's American Music Awards. The singer was one of the first names to be confirmed for the upcoming telecast, along with the band Imagine Dragons, although more names are set to be announced in the run up to the telecast. Unfortunately, Cyrus didn't wind up with any nominations herself, but that probably won't stop her from being the most talked-about artist at the AMAs.

There's been no word yet as to whether Cyrus will attempt to top her infamous VMAs performance, but personally, we're hoping that she decides to strip everything down (not like that) and showcase her voice over her wacky onstage antics. Everyone will be comparing the two performances anyway, so it would be cool to see her do the opposite of what everyone's expecting and pass up some of the typical Cyrus-concert spectacle and let her music speak for her.
Or, you know, she could ignore all of that and twerk on a giant wrecking ball with an army of Beetlejuice backup dancers while ripping up a photo of Sinead O'Connor and licking a sledgehammer. Whichever direction she chooses, her performance certainly won't be boring. And she'll probably be wearing very little clothing, but that pretty much goes without saying.
The 2013 American Music Awards nominees include Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Taylor Swift, and Justin Timberlake. The show will be broadcast on Novermber 24 on ABC.

Vampire 101: Class is in Session
If you can't catch Zoey Deutch, Lucy Fry, Sami Gayle and Dominic Sherwood from Vampire Academy at their Comic Con panel in New York on October 11 at 11AM ET, fear not: MTV will be featuring interviews and set visits online. Unless you've been locked in a coffin, you already know the movie version of Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy  is slated to open on Valentine's Day, 2014. The tale follows vampire/human hybrid Rose Hathaway and her classmates through the intricacies of Romanian vamp escoterica. It's like Buffy, but way more sophisticated. It is, after all, a boarding school.

For Vampires with Taste
If you're on the West Coast, why not duck out for a romantic evening at The Vampire Lounge and Tasting Room? There are some whites —for you wimps — but the reds are worth sharpening your teeth for. You will definitely make an impression on your date.

Three's the Charm
But if you're stuck any place in between, Encore has scheduled a mini vamp triple-header on Saturday Oct. 12: Van Helsing airs at 5:45 PM ET, Blade at 8 PM ET, and the crown jewel in that franchise, Blade: Trinity, airs at at 10 PM ET. Van Helsing is fine to watch while you're making dinner, but the coolest is definitely the last one. It's funny, imaginative and sick, and has something compelling the other two don't: Ryan Reynolds hotness.

No body double for Sunny Leone in 'Tina and Lolo'

Mumbai: Actress Sunny Leone underwent due training before starting action film ‘Tina and Lolo’, and she has not used a body double for any of her stunt scenes, says the movie`s director.

"Sunny went through training for around two to three months before starting the film. She went through gun training, boxing and action for this film. She has not used any body double for any of her action scenes. She is a thorough professional," director Devang Dholakia said.
Sunny, a Indo-Canadian porn star who now works in Bollywood films, plays Tina in the film, while the role of Lolo is essayed by Karishma Tanna.
"The action in the film is not the usual action that you seen in Bollywood. It is going to be very different," said Dholakia.
The team has wrapped up the first shooting schedule of the film.
"We have finished shooting for the first schedule and the second schedule will start from October end. We are planning to release the film by April 2014. I am very happy with the way the film is shaping up," he said.

How many women will Salman Khan romance?

Mumbai: In real life, Salman Khan is single and at 47, is one of India’s most eligible bachelors. The hunk of an actor has romanced several beauties on screen since 1988 and shall woo many more in years to come.

From Bhagyashree to Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor to Kajol, Kareena to Katrina, Salman Khan has wooed them all.

And if the latest buzz is anything to go by, then the superstar will be romancing 10 women in the sequel to Boney Kapoor’s 2005 super-hit ‘No Entry’.
Titled ‘No Entry Mein Entry’, the film which is slated to go on floors next year will see Salman essay the role of Prem.
In the first franchise, Esha Deol played Salman’s better half. But this time, 10 lucky women will get an opportunity to make the industry heavyweight go weak on his knees on the silver screen!
So who all do you think should feature in the film? Share your views with us.

'Bigg Boss 7': What’s cooking between Kushal, Gauhar Khan?

Mumbai: Many inmates of the 7th edition of popular TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ seem to have been struck by the cupid’s arrow. Love is certainly in the air for Gauhar Khan and Kushal!

The duo has been bonding big time and have been often spotted hugging and cuddling each other. They have been a cohesive unit all this while despite a small tiff that triggered after the lady kept asking Kushal the reason behind his silence.
Kushal had been given a task by the Bigg Boss and hence had to remain tight-lipped about the same.
However, a gentleman that he is, Kushal couldn’t stop himself from apologising to Gauhar and comforting her. They two hugged and “reconciled”! Nonetheless, what raised eyebrows was the way Kushal held the lady in his arms. Their body language oozed sensuality. Ahem!!!
The prime time show has been news since the beginning over its content. But despite all the controversies, ‘Bigg Boss’ has successfully completed 6 seasons and has had Bollywood superstar Salman Khan as its host since the last three consecutive years.
But given the way the show is progressing, parents might have to keep their children off their TV sets whenever ‘Bigg Boss’ is aired.

Alia Bhatt breaks her silence on 'affair' with Arjun Kapoor

New Delhi: One of the downsides of being an actor is vulnerability to gossip and scandals but it seems that Alia Bhatt, albeit a newbie in Bollywood happens to be quite mature for her age.

This brings our focus to her rumoured link-up with her ‘2 States’ co-actor Arjun Kapoor. It has been a long while since the gossip mills have been abuzz with the news of this petite actress seeing Arjun. There have been talks about Alia bonding big time with Arjun’a sister Anshula. But Alia has been treating the rumours the way they are generally treated by any actor (cue: denial).
Talking to a leading daily, Alia bitterly denied having any affair with Arjun Kapoor.
“I am still in the news for dating Arjun. Interestingly, now the latest update I have heard is that I have broken up with him,” said the actress. She further added, “News like this will come and go...it does not bother me. It is not true. He is a good friend and is fun to hang out with.”
However, she did not rule out the possibility of dating an actor in future. “When I do fall in love, it will be about the person and not his profession,” she said.

I'd like to do big roles in Hollywood films: Nawazuddin

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who believes in method acting, Thursday said he would do Hollywood films if the role offered is not clichéd and is substantial in length.

Siddiqui is known for his roles in films like ‘Kahaani’, ‘Talaash’ and ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. If given a chance to work in Hollywood, he would not make the jump just for the sake of it.

"I would like to do a bigger role in Hollywood films...I hope I don`t get to play bit parts. Other actors who do Hollywood movies jump at the opportunity, but their roles turn out to be small. I would like roles which are not cliched," Siddiqui told mediapersons here while promoting his forthcoming films ‘Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa’ and ‘Mountain Man’.
"I select films based on the length...not on the depth of the character because I believe I can bring out the depth in any character," he added.
In Bengali filmmaker Buddhadeb Dasgupta`s ‘Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa’, slated to release after the festive season, Siddiqui will be seen portraying a small time detective. He stars opposite National Award winning actress Ananya Chatterjee.
The film has made it to the British Film Institute`s London Film Festival that started Wednesday and will run till Oct 20.
"Film festivals are a great way to see other kinds of cinema. I like watching films from across the world, particularly Korean," said Siddiqui, whose last release ‘The Lunchbox’ bagged the Critics Week Viewers Choice Award at the Cannes Film Festival this year.

Akshay Kumar’s 'Boss' heads for Panama

New Delhi: Bollywood star Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Boss’ will explore the uncharted markets of Panama, Latin America. It is said to be the first Hindi movie to release there.

Set for worldwide release Oct 16, the movie, distributed internationally by Krian Media, will also be screened in theatres across Peru and France.
It is always the aim of international distributors to take the movie to maximum places and it is a matter of great pride that Indian cinema has reached out to screens in Panama as well, said Raj Malik, vice president, film acquisition & distribution, Krian Media.
"It thus is a matter of immense pride for us that not only have we been able to ensure a pretty wide 400 screen international release for `Boss` across Europe, North America, South East Asia and Australia, amongst other markets but have also opened up the non-traditional Latin American market of Panama to Indian cinema," Malik said in a statement.
Directed by Anthony D`souza, ‘Boss’ also stars Shiv Pandit, Aditi Rao Hydari, Danny Denzongpa, Ronit Roy and Johnny Lever.

Give it up for Amitabh Bachchan!

Give it up for Amitabh Bachchan!Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Murabba’, that was one of the four short films featured in ‘Bombay Talkies’, shows Vijay, played by Vineet Kumar, travelling to Mumbai to fulfil the wishes of his ailing father. His father’s only wish is to share the last murabba(sweetened pickle) by none other than Amitabh Bachchan.

What follows is a series of some funny, some rather poignant mageries of Vijay attempting to meet Amitabh outside his home in Mumbai. That phenomenon is Amitabh Bachchan, for whom people are ready to sit outside his home for days, and weeks not even going to change clothes lest they miss a glimpse of the superstar. It wasn’t just a movie by a nouveau Indian director on a fictional fan. What he showed on screen was one of the thousand Vijays, who has been named so, because Bachchan portrayed Vijay in most of his hits. It’s a story of a man who like his superstar, who made it despite all odds. For one, who was touted unfit for the cinema screen because he was too tall. One, who was rejected by the All India Radio for his deep baritone voice, which all Bollywood buffs swear by.
He was the intense tall dark handsome man in a plethora of romantic, villain bashing, sometimes melodramatic heroes that Bollywood featured back in the 70s. He failed when he first stepped in the industry, rose like a rising tide on a full moon night. Failed again, and then again clawed his way back to the top. He is a man who refused to be ignored. He has played everything. From a village simpleton in ‘Saudagar’, to a cop in ‘Zanjeer’, to a rather serious doctor in ‘Anand’, to a child suffering from progeria in ‘Paa’. He has played everything. That was just on screen. Bachchan has worked in the industry as an actor, producer, playback singer, as a television presenter, and a movie narrator – as French director François Truffaut put it - Amitabh is a "one-man industry".
He shot to stardom with ‘Zanjeer’, but that was not it. He was not a product of one director, one movie. He held on to every little opportunity that was given to him. His first movie ‘Saat Hindustani’ didn’t fare well at the Box Office, but the man was noticed nevertheless. Bachchan bagged his first National Award for being a promising newcomer for the role.
He did commercial cinema and he did movies where he wasn’t the only star. ‘Sholay’ and ‘Chupke Chupke’ had Dharmender as the lead, while ‘Anand’ and ‘Namak Haram’ had Rajesh Khanna, and ‘Deewar’ had Shashi Kapoor. Amitabh however did not vanish behind these biggies, he shone. Audiences had tears in their eyes when Jai sacrificed himself for his best friend. They even cried when the anti-hero Vijay died in his mother’s arms in ‘Deewar’. Many movies makers take credit for his rise to fame. Every one of them claiming how their particular film made him the ‘Angry Young Man’ that he got known as.
His second coming was possibly a bigger struggle than his debut. The industry had become more demanding. The press was not favourable to Big B. He was undergoing a financial crisis with ABCL. All his attempts at a comeback were flopping. ‘Mrityudaata’, ‘Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan’, Laal Badhshah’, ‘Hindustan Ki Kasam’, all of them failed to set the cash registers ring. Everything was pitted against him. And then came ‘Mohabbatein’ at the turn of the millennium. Aditya Chopra envisioned Amitabh in a suave, stern, traditional college principal, contending against the romantic, Shah Rukh Khan. The film worked and the image of Amitabh in a patriarchal figure struck gold.
Amitabh, however, went on experimenting. ‘Aks’, ‘Cheeni Kum’, ‘Black’, ‘The Last Lear’, ‘Bhoothnath’, ‘Sarkar’, ‘Paa’, each of them saw him donning different garbs and each of the roles were appreciated by critics irrespective of the Box Office records.
And he continues to do so.His success, his failures, his films, his voice, his sophistication, his versatility, none of it can explain what Big B truly represents in the minds of his fans, his worshippers. For us he is Amitabh - literally the light that will never die.
As he turns 71, this October, here is wishing him many more lit years ahead, and let his radiance sparkle all our lives with his genius.

Lady Gaga bares all for new album's cover

Washington: Lady Gaga has gone nude for the cover of her upcoming album `Artpop`.

The 27-year-old popstar has commissioned a custom-made sculpture of herself by celebrated artist Jeff Koons, which would be featured on the cover of her new album.
The cover pic shows Gaga in a blond wig, sitting with her legs spread wide open over a huge, mirror-polished blue ball, as she covers her boobs with her hands, Contactmusic reported.
The `Poker Face` hitmaker took to twitter with a pic of the cover saying that "one second she is koons and then suddenly the koons is her."
The sculpture is also said to be displayed as a part of a special art show in November, to celebrate the release of ` Artpop`.

Jayceon Taylor hopes Khloe Kardashian becomes single soon

The Game has been supportive of Khloe during her personal crisis, reports radaronline.com.

"Jayceon has made no secret that he has very strong feelings for Khloe, beyond friendship," said a source.

"Nothing inappropriate has happened, Jayceon respects the fact she is still married, but he is definitely waiting in the wings, hoping Khloe pulls the plug on her marriage to Lamar," the source added.

When Britney Spears Switches On Her Mic

Britney Spears performs in Mexico City during her "Femme Fatale Tour' Mexico City, Mexico - 04.12.11 **Available for publication in the US. Not for publication in the rest of the world** Where: Mexico When: 04 Dec 2011 Credit: WENN **Available for publication in the US Not for publication in the rest of the world**
Despite the fact that she appears to have been sleepwalking through most of her performances since her infamous meltdown, Britney Spears insisted last week that she always sings live when asked whether she would be lip-synching during her upcoming run of 'Piece Of Me' shows in Las Vegas. While the disastrous response to her previous Femme Fatale tour suggests her claims are nonsensical, there have been at least a handful of occasions when the troubled star has made the effort to switch her mic on. Here's a look at five examples of her on-stage vocal prowess.

Star Search
Britney may have lost out to future Broadway star Marty Thomas during her appearance on Star Search in 1992. But her rendition of "Love Can Build A Bridge" at the tender age of ten years old is arguably her most impressive vocal display. What happened?

Late Show With David Letterman
Seven years on and this performance of her signature hit, "…Baby One More Time" on the Late Show With David Letterman proved that her voice had obviously lost some of its powerhouse quality, although it's still head and shoulders above anything else she's managed since.

Top Of The Pops
Perhaps a sign of the craziness that was to follow, Britney seemed more concerned with pulling the kind of faces you'd expect to see at a gurning competition than providing competent vocals during her slightly deranged take on "Lucky" for British TV institution Top Of The Pops in 2000.

"You Oughta Know"
The jury's still out at just how unaided Britney was during this unexpected cover of Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know" during her 2009 Circus tour. But the odd dodgy note and moments of breathlessness suggest that fans who coughed up hundreds of dollars for a seat did at least witness one semi-live performance.

The X-Factor USAOne of the few notable things she did during her stint on The X-Factor USA, Britney surprised fellow judge LA Reid and every single viewer when she sang "Happy Birthday" entirely without the use of AutoTune while presenting him with a cake in 2012.

10 Lies women love to Tell10 Lies women love to Tell

Women: complex little creatures that love life. Women, no matter how honest they are or seem to be, tend to twist the truth somehow just because they're forced to by a man (let’s say a dad, brother or a partner). I know men reading this would be quite aggravated but come to think about it, a person lies because he’s either a pathological liar or simply because he’s afraid to tell the truth. Well, regardless the reasons here are 10 lies women can’t help but tell!
1. I'm sorry, I didn’t hear my phone ring: it’s Wednesday, Grey’s Anatomy is on which means if you tried poking her with a stick, she’d simply ignore you. What gets to me is that you guys get pissed from this behavior while you tend to act in the same manner when NBA Gametime is on. Basically, if she's watching a chick flick, listening to her favorite song or you guys just fought, don’t expect her to answer her phone.
2. There’s no pressure to get married: been there, done that but in our defense, at some point we really do mean it up until auntie Sawsan (code for soosa -conniving-) shows up like a genie in the middle of the night and starts asking stupid questions like, so when are you getting married? Or, why don’t you hook up with Hamada, he’s great and he lives in the states! Auntie Sawsan is usually a well intentioned, 40 something -year old woman that makes you hurl every time you see her, so guys don’t hate the girls for pressuring you to buy the $50 golden ring that will shut up all the auntie Sawsans out there, instead hate the 40 year old creature that needs to be slaughtered (PS. Watch out for Sawsan behavior in your own mom!)
3. Boudi? Nah, he was never an option: this sentence just cracks me up every time I even think about it. The fact that she called him 'Boudy’ instead of Abdullah is proof that he was once an option. Well, this is a whole other article that I've been meaning to write but in the meanwhile, bear in mind you’re probably not running this race alone so RUN FOREST RUN!
4. You’re right, I'm sorry: this phrase sounds like something Chandler would say on F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Rule # 1: women don’t ever think they’re wrong, EVER. Is she says you’re right, she's either had enough of this conversation or she's in too much of a good mood to argue about it. 99% of the time, she spends the rest of the month proving to you that she was right and you’d be sorry (harsh but true).
5. Numbers: men are accurate; they say 2 dollars 30 cents instead of the rounded $3 reply women give. So don’t ask a woman anything that would require her to answer with a number, for example how old she is (after the age of 40), how much she weighs nor what shoe size she wears because you won’t get the accurate answer you were hoping for.
6. I don’t care really: if she says she doesn’t care, she probably does (at least for a minute). So I don’t care how much money you make is probably something she's dying to find out, I don’t care if you're a slob is unfortunately something that’s killing her and I don’t care if you show up at my party is simply a lie.
7. My dress is NOT short: men, come on, don’t be insensitive. The girl has been getting dressed for God knows how long, worrying about her makeup, hair, dress and the fact that her ex is at the party and she wants to tease him and all you could come up with is 'your dress is too short' ??! have some pity on the girl and compliment her beauty,  in fact help her tease her ex too , and if you're dying to say something, then say it as you leave the party (saying something like 'this dress could’ve been longer' is highly appreciated).
8. You're my first: she's 20, hot, single and funny, first can mean a lot of things. You could be her first true love, first serious relationship, first one with the name Mohammed, or first one to ever buy this sentence. Every girl knows a thing or two about men, where do you think she got the info from? When she says you’re her first, ask her to define first!
9. I love watching sports: when there’s nothing else on TV, when there’s no one to talk to, nothing to eat, and when I want to impress you, should all be words to finish off this sentence.
10. I like you just the way you are: girls, men can see right through this one because you can’t hide something like that. We always buy them clothes, watches or shoes on anniversaries and birthdays so apparently we’re not really fond of their sense of style. When it comes to romantic gestures, we give them a heads up on what we like and kind of imply what we want as gifts too. That’s ok, as long as you're happy, just don’t lie to yourself about it, you like him just the way he is when he does what you tell him to.
Women, complex little creatures that love life, so let them live!

Alcohol not allowed on Britney Spears' dining table

Los Angeles: Singer Britney Spears, who has battled alcohol addiction in the past, don`t allow her friends to drink when she is around.

Spears dined with a group of eight people at the Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village here.

Before Spears arrived, a few people in the group ordered drinks at the bar. They all then went to their table in the restaurant, leaving the drinks behind, reports tmz.com.
The singer has laid down strict laws for friends and do not allow them to consume alcohol in her presence.
According to a witness, a waitress came by and brought a glass of wine that one of the women had been drinking, and apparently in Spears` presence the woman told the waitress was mistaken she wasn`t drinking wine.
Once the singer left, all the friends went to the bar and enjoyed drinks.

Italian Filmmaker Luca Guadagnino Brings 'Walking Stories' to Life as a Web Series

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=581323418591888&set=pb.143100785747489.-2207520000.1381252944.&type=3&theater
Director Luca Guadagnino is preparing to dip his toes into something a little different. The acclaimed Italian filmmaker, whose last feature film I Am Love starred Tilda Swinton, has just launched the first segment of Walking Stories, an eight-part web series starring Kaya Scodelario, Lauren Hutton, and Tom Ellis.
The first part in the ongoing series features the chance encounter of two long lost college friends who have obviously led very different lives after leaving school. Sarah looks like a Bohemian free spirit with a penchant for drawing on her body parts while her friend seems more focused on the upscale living and material things. The first episode ends on a cliffhanger after Sarah's friend asks her how exactly she ended up in Florence in the first place. Judging from the trailer and the first part of the series, Walking Stories seems like a light and funny romantic comedy with a European flair.
Watch the trailer and the first episode below:

'The Starving Games' Trailer is the 'The Hunger Games' Parody That No One Asked For

From the creators of the "comedies" Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, and the Scary Movie series (Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer) comes the parody of The Hunger Games that no one asked for: The Starving Games. The trailer, much like the title of the film itself, seems to mimic The Hunger Games, but instead of good acting and a theme focusing on human rights, it's filled to brim with bad jokes.
From atomic wedgies to in-your-face pop-culture references — Tim Tebow, Angry Birds, The Avengers, Gangam Style, Avatar — the film doesn't look like it's going to garner much praise, if any at all. (In the past, Friedberg and Seltzer films have received 2-percent and 1-percent on Rotten Tomatoes.)
Movie Still of the Starving Games, a Hunger Games parody
If you don't think you'll be able to stomach the trailer, here's a joke from the almost three minutes of forced punchlines that describes the movie in a nutshell: A boy's name is "Hugh Janus." Yup.
The film stars Maiara Walsh (Mean Girls 2) as Kantmiss Evershot and Brant Daugherty (Pretty Little Liars) as Dale. The Starving Games arrives in select theaters on Nov. 8, two weeks before The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theaters (Nov. 22).

Did They Really Hook Up?

Hollywood might be like a giant high school, but unlike real life, its students aren't afraid to intermingle with other cliques. Sometimes two celebrities from completely different circles meet and sparks fly. Maybe it's because actors, musicians and athletes are often invited to the same industry parties, and because celebrities are attractive no matter their trade, when two famous people meet it's almost weird if they don't hook up. These inter-industry couples are usually the most interesting pairings, but more often than not, they're usually either a one-night fling or just a rumor. We're not going to play detective and find out the truth, but we will break down the top five weirdest celebrity hookup reports.
Zac Efron and Nicki Minaj
Star magazine recently reported that Zac Efron and Nicki Minaj had a "steamy sex affair," which Nicki herself quickly shot down. "Who exactly is Zac Efron tho? I'm sorry, I'm so confused," she tweeted. When a fan tweeted a shirtless picture of the actor in response, she tweeted back, "Oooohhhh ok... Well I guess that rumor isn't so bad after all. lmfao." Guess it was too good to be true.

Britney Spears and Colin Farrell
Britney Spears and Colin Farrell had a brief fling in 2003, when the Irish actor took her to the premiere of his movie The Recruit. They were seen kissing on the red carpet and on a balcony at the Chateau Marmont later that night. Farrell insisted, "We're just mates, and we're not dating," and reportedly sent the pop singer a t-shirt that read "I slept with Colin Farrell and all I got was this lousy t-shirt." Hopefully that was the only thing she got.
Jason Statham and Kristin Cavallari
If only this could have been featured on an episode of The Hills. During the summer of 2009, Jason Statham and Kristin Cavallari were seen getting cozy together on the Hollywood club scene several times. Sources told Us Weekly that the Crank star was attracted to the reality star, but it was just a hookup situation. A year later, the two met up again at Coachella and got into some trouble together when they took a golf cart for a spin and were stopped by the police. Sounds like they could have been a fun couple if only Rosie Huntington-Whiteley didn't come along and redirect Statham's attention.
Rihanna and Ashton Kutcher
After Ashton Kutcher split from Demi Moore in 2011 and before Rihanna took up with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Chris Brown in 2012, the "Diamonds" singer had a nearly four-month fling with the Two and a Half Men  star. According to sources, they met at a friend's party in December 2011, swapped numbers, and started meeting up almost immediately. After a photographer caught Rihanna leaving Kutcher's house in the middle night, however, he reportedly called it quits, suspecting that she had tipped off the paparazzi. Rihanna fired back that maybe he did it because clearly he has more to gain from the public knowing. She's kind of right.
Natalie Portman and Moby
This might be the most unexpected pair but perhaps the most inspiring for nerds everywhere. In a 2008 interview with Spin, Moby humble-bragged about having a brief fling with Natalie Portman, which led to some negative attention. "As far as the very brief affair that I had with Natalie, it's made me a target of a lot of nerd wrath. You don't date Luke Skywalker's mom and not have them hate your guts."

Actresses Who Took Their Tops Off For Absolutely No Reason

There are some actresses who start out their careers making compromises and showing more than they want to in order to become famous (let's face it: the industry can be pretty male-oriented). Then there are the actresses who are already famous, having starred in popular or critically-acclaimed movies, but decide to go topless anyway. Perhaps they equate nudity with an Oscar nomination, or maybe they just want to flaunt it while they can (these actresses do look like superhumans, after all). Either way, here are seven actresses who could have kept their clothes on, because going nude did absolutely nothing for their careers.
Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stewart is a household name. Besides the throngs of Twilight fans, she's been a Hollywood regular since playing Jodie Foster's daughter in Panic Room. After stepping out of her comfort zone to play Joan Jett and an action-hero version of Snow White, the world knew she was destined for great things. So it seemed completely unnecessary when she went topless in On the Road. This was arguably her most literary piece of work, so maybe she thought she was giving to her craft. But if she didn't even get naked for her role as a stripper in Welcome to the Rileys, there was really no reason she had to in the Jack Kerouac adaptation.
Anne Hathaway
After starring in The Princess Diaries, Anne Hathaway was primed to be America's sweetheart. As if the very thought made her want to hurl, she tried to throw that image out the window with Havoc, in which she plays a rich, spoiled California high school student who dabbles in a little gang activity. The scene where she goes topless is when she's in bed with a street gang member and realizes she might have gone too far. However, it's another scene that might go down in history: when she grinds on her white thug boyfriend while singing 2Pac's "How Do You Want It?" I would bet my life savings that this was the role Hathaway wants everyone to forget.
Keira Knightley
Like Hathaway, Keira Knightley was headed in a wholesome direction relatively early in her career and even scored an Oscar nomination for 2006's Pride & Prejudice, but she too grew restless. She had to make Domino. The biopic about real-life model turned bounty hunter Domino Harvey tanked, but maybe that's a good thing because that means few people saw the actress's embarrassing lap dance scene and topless sex scene. And this was all after Knightley went topless early in her career in The Hole. All the hard work that Bend It Like Beckham did to undo her less-than-wholesome image was also undone.
Halle Berry
Halle Berry was already building a promising career when she went topless briefly for 2001's Swordfish. In the context of the film, it seems a little out of left field, but if it helped to pave the way for Monster's Ball, in which she has a more extended nude scene, then so be it. That movie made Berry the first African-American female ever to win the best actress Academy Award, which more than likely made any temporary on-set embarrassment worthwhile.
Katie Holmes
Dawson's Creek put Katie Holmes on the map as the ultimate girl next door. Like so many actresses before and after her, she just couldn't wait to shed that image. In 1998, she played a more provocative version of Joey Potter in Disturbing Behavior, but it wasn't until 2000 that she went fully topless in the flop thriller The Gift, which starred some big names like Cate Blanchett, Keanu Reeves and Greg Kinnear. The movie did very little for her career, as did the topless scene.
Natalie Portman
You couldn't ask for a better career start than Natalie Portman's — she burst onto the scene in the cult classic Léon: The Professional, went on to work with both Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in Heat, and scored a major franchise with George Lucas' Star Wars reboot. So why did she go and get naked in Hotel Chevalier  (even if it is a charming and stylish Wes Anderson short film with a great soundtrack)? And not just any old regular naked, but the elusive full bottom. It seems like the Oscar-winning actress has a penchant for mooning the camera, as she also showed her bum — although partially, in thongs — in Closer and Your Highness.
Lindsay Lohan
Last but not least, there's Lindsay Lohan. After so many revealing outfits and a nude editorial in New York Magazine, Lohan going nude in Machete and The Canyons was a bit like watching LeBron James play a basketball player in a movie. It felt like we had already seen it before and not at all a stretch for the actress. In fact, she practically plays herself in The Canyons, about a shady movie producer who makes amateur pornos with his spoiled wannabe-actress girlfriend. I wouldn't be surprised if she volunteered to play the leading role in a made-for-TV movie about herself next.

Bollywood may get a thumbs down at IFFI: Official

Panaji: Bollywood movies may get a thumbs down this IFFI, an organiser said Tuesday.

"IFFI is for serious films and not for new Bollywood films," Vishnu Wagh, vice chairman of the Entertainment Society of Goa, one of the two government agencies organising the International Film Festival of India, told reporters after a meeting with Directorate of Film Festival officials here.

"But we are trying on level best to get him here," Wagh said.
