Miley Cyrus debuts brunette hair
Los Angeles: Pop star Miley Cyrus has changed her hair colour
again, leaving behind the blonde and going for a darker brunette shade.
The 20-year-old songstress has dyed her short hair and proudly showed it off while out and about in Paris recently.
She greeted her fans and took pictures with them, sticking out her tongue whenever she struck a pose for the cameras, reported Ace Showbiz.
The former Disney star emerged from her hotel in a dark blue plaid shirt, black skinny jeans, over-sized thick-rimmed sunglasses, a couple of statement necklaces, and high heels.
Cyrus has been in Europe for a while now to promote her upcoming studio album `Bangerz`. She became talks of the town in the past few days due to her jaw-dropping performance at the MTV Video Music Awards and later her naked appearance on the newly-released `Wrecking Ball` music video.
Regardless of the pros and cons, her full-throttled efforts to draw attention to her music seemed to pay off quite well.
After enjoying the success of lead single `We Can`t Stop` which peaked at Number 2 on Billboard Hot 100, she is now heading for her first Number 1 on the singles chart with `Wrecking Ball`.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley favours balanced diet
Los Angeles: Actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley prefers
maintaining a balanced diet which includes plently of vegetables,
smoothies and fish.
"I live in LA, where every fad diet starts and all the training techniques begin, but I have always kept my approach to health and fitness really simple," Huntington-Whiteley told Britain`s Grazia magazine.
"My approach is a lot of vegetables, smoothies and fish ... I don`t believe in fads. I believe in eating clean and balanced," the 26-year-old further added.
The actress is fond of grinding her vegetable and making it into a juice, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"I do a lot of juicing, a lot of green smoothies. I put all my super foods and supplements into my juice and I have that first thing. I drink two litres of water when I wake up and try to do four litres a day," she said.
She also believes that playing sports also helps keep fit.
"My mum and my brothers are fitness instructors, so I grew up outdoors, playing sports and being active. It keeps my head screwed on. You can`t be flying around and not look after yourself and expect to keep your body running," she said.
Los Angeles: Katherine Heigl is all set to make her comeback on TV with untitled CIA drama.
Heigl, 34, who famously left medical drama `Grey`s Anatomy` in 2010 to focus on her family and film career, is excited about her TV return with NBC`s series, reported Us magazine.
"I am thrilled and honoured to have been asked to be a part
of developing these stories and this character and bringing it all to life. NBC has been a true partner in their passion and support for the show that we`ve dreamed of making and I could not be happier about joining forces with them. Together, with our brilliant writer Alexi Hawley, I believe we are going to make great television!," she said in a statement.
"The story is not only compelling and intelligent but a look behind the curtain at the CIA we haven`t seen before in film or television," she added.
London: Actor Jake Gyllenhaal, who faced rumours about his sexuality after acting in 'Brokeback Mountain', believes such stories proved he portrayed his character convincingly.
The 32-year-old actor starred alongside late Heath Ledger in the 2005 Ang Lee film about two cowboys who embark on a forbidden romance, reported Digital Spy.
"Of course it's a huge compliment! One, being gay is awesome! Two, the rumours only prove what a believable performance you gave!
"Heath and I knew each other for years before that because we had both auditioned for Moulin Rouge together. And I remember thinking, 'I like this guy. He's just like, super-lovable'," he said.
Gyllenhaal said he still misses Ledger and his passing was like "losing a family member".
Los Angeles: Singer Elton John revealed that he wrote a song for
his album `The Diving Board` keeping troubled star Lindsay Lohan in
mind.
John, 66, said that the title track of his upcoming new record was inspired by the former Disney star`s rise and fall in Hollywood, reported Ace Showbiz.
"I hate to think of Lindsay because she has a talent, she was a great actress, and then it became all about the madness, the parties and everyone forgets about what put them there in the first place - they get lost in the idea that they are famous for who they are, not what they are," he said.
Lohan has recently completed a 90-day rehab stint. She was ordered to check into a rehab facility after having several run-ins with the law and admitting to using drugs.
Marking John`s first album in seven years `The Diving Board` will be available from September 24.

Following the opinion-dividing news that Susan Boyle is to record a posthumous duet with Elvis Presley for her upcoming Christmas album, here's a look at five of the best collaborations between the living and the dead.
Lauryn Hill & Bob Marley – "Turn Your Lights Down Low"
One of her last great musical contributions before her wasteful descent into tax-evading reclusiveness, the former Fugees star joined forces with the late father of her then-partner Rohan Marley for a typically chilled 1999 retooling of Exodus album track, "Turn Your Lights Down Low."
Aaliyah feat. Drake – "Enough Said"
Ignore the loathsome Chris Brown’s attempt to overshadow his rival's tribute to Aaliyah, long time Baby Girl obsessive Drake's hazy electro-R&B offering was a far more respectful use of the tragic star's goosebump-inducing vocals.
2 Pac feat. Elton John – "Ghetto Gospel"
Famous for releasing more material following his 1996 murder than before it, Tupac's back catalogue is littered with duets from beyond the grave. But continuing producer Eminem's unlikely affiliation with Elton John, it was this 2005 hook-up with the Rocket Man that proved to be one of his most emotive.
Nas feat. Amy Winehouse – "Cherry Wine"
Nas admitted he was initially reluctant about the idea of using the troubled soul diva's vocals on new material after she became the latest member of the dreaded 27 Club in 2011. But he needn't have worried as this tasteful jazz-tinged standout from Life Is Good is up there with the best of Back To Black.
Natalie Cole & Nat King Cole – "Unforgettable"
Having previously refused to cover any of her late father's classic big band standards, Natalie Cole finally relented in 1991 with an entire album dedicated to the 'King,' the highlight of which was this touching Grammy-winning virtual duet.
London: British singer Liam Payne defends his girlfriend, Sophia Smith, from any hurtful comments posted online.
Payne said that he does this so that she will not be hurt or offended by the comments, reports contactmusic.com.
"I do it because I worry she might read it ... In the end she`s just a girl like you who sits reading Twitter on her phone. She doesn`t deserve to sit and read all that - who does?," he posted on microblogging site Twitter.
Payne, who is a part of "One Direction", had also previously defended the followers of his group on Twitter. They were the subject to a British documentary, " Crazy About One Direction" which spoke about what their fans do to honour the group.
"Just so all of you know, we love you guys and we know how dedicated you are. We can`t believe that you guys spend all you time on us," he posted.
"I live in LA, where every fad diet starts and all the training techniques begin, but I have always kept my approach to health and fitness really simple," Huntington-Whiteley told Britain`s Grazia magazine.

'John Day' Review: Taut, tense, tactile and terrific
Cast: Naseeruddin Shah, Randeep Hooda, Shernaz Patel, Elena Kazan;
Directed by: Ahishor Solomon
This is no place for the weak. This world as we know it. And this film, as we discover with the thrill of chancing upon an unexpected little gem.
Inspired from a Spanish film, is it? I really don`t give a fig where writer-director Ahishor Solomon got the raw material for this gripping cat-and-mouse tale. Does the kitchen where the food on the table originates really mean anything? What counts is the quotient of curiosity and suspense simulated by the script. And there, "John Day" ranks very high.
Not for a while have we seen a film so steeped in despair, so swathed in anxiety, so audaciously draped in despair and yet it engages our senses without miring the plot in morbidity.
The story is not for the squeamish. The two main characters are constantly haunted by their irrevocably tragic parts. Naseeruddin Shah and Randeep Hooda, real-life guru and pupil, play people who know no happiness. Incidents from their past continue to shadow and chase their present. There is scarcely a moment in the plot when John (Shah) and Gautam (Hooda) are happy except when they are with their beloved `Other`.
But then Shernaz Patel, who plays Naseer`s wife and the very beautiful foreigner Elena Kazan who plays Randeep girl are troubled by their own ghosts. So where do we go for comfort?
What price, solace?
"John Day" is a restless edgy drama of the doomed and the damned. This not the first time Randeep has played a fugitive shadowed by his own past. But this is certainly his most layered character which he performs with the kind of gravelly gusto that allows us to get only as close to the sullen character as he wants us. Towards the end-game when the momentum gets frenzied beyond recuperation, Randeep`s character`s softer side emerges.
He has a brilliantly written monologue with a comatose character where we get to know how much this brutal man loves his woman.
Yup, this man can die for money and for love. It`s a dichotomous character torn between self-abnegation and vendetta.
In a way Randeep character plays a mirror-image of Naseer`s banker gone amok. This is not the first time that India`s most vaunted actor has played a wizened common man pushed to a corner by the monstrous corruption in out socio-political system.
Remember Neeraj Pathak`s "A Wednesday"? Here In "John Day" the terror that Naseer`s character battles is far more personal, and hence in many ways, much more moving and compelling. His greatness as an actor doesn`t come in the way of letting the character of the common man have his say in the most natural way possible.
It is very difficult to speak out openly about the characters and their motivations without giving away the plot. "John Day" is the kind of clenched yarn that makes you forget that yawning distance between cinema and the audience. You become one with the character`s battles, without getting judgemental over their actions.
Some of the things that the characters do are unmistakably brutal. An innocent woman`s head is shattered by a hammer, a man`s tongue is bitten off and another man`s neck is also bitten off. It`s a cold brutal world with no comic relief, at least none where you laugh out loud at the ironies of life.
`John Day` brings the indomitable Naseeruddin and the intriguing Randeep for a taut cat-and-mouse chase that stays a step ahead of the audience right till the shattering end-game.
While the two principal actors get under their characters` skins, other actors seem equally at home in this inky kingdom of greed and gluttony. Vipin Sharma and Makrand Despande are very engaging in their supporting parts. They make doom seem anything but dull. But the film`s third hero is Sandeep Chowta`s background score. It creates a world of emotions beyond the spoken words for Naseer and Randeep.
This is a world where there is no escape from sorrow and grief. Enemies are clobbered and butchered mercilessly. Not because they deserve to die. But because life is as randomly brutal as we make it for ourselves. And cinema such as this reminds us that moral values of good, evil, justice and comeuppance mean nothing to those who have nothing to lose.
For a film about losers `John Day` proves to be a paradoxically profitable movie-viewing experience for the audience.

"It is bonus to see him doing action....I used to look at his muscles to see the `dhai kilo ka haath`. His hands do seem heavily muscled.
"And looking at him I did feel like doing some action. I do have some action scenes in the film but they are more of self defence," Amrita told reporters.
The `Vivah` star said she had to learn the typical eastern UP Hindi to play the character.
"I had to learn the eastern UP accent. I did research for my role. I saw lot of videos to understand the lingo and get into the garb of a reporter," Amrita said
The film, directed by Anil Sharma, is slated to release on November 22.

Abbas Tyrewala is lying, says the recently-sued Preity Zinta
Mumbai: Preity Zinta, who was recently issued a non-bailable
warrant by a court for non-payment of dues by writer-director Abbas
Tyrewala for his writing work in her last production Ishkq In Paris, has
decided not to take the allegations lying down. She was issued the
warrant after she failed to appear in court despite repeated orders.
PZ not only denies owing any money to Tyrewala but also accuses him of non-delivery of required work. Shooting in Udaipur with Sunny Deol for `Bhaiyyaji Superhit` Preity, who is known to be absolutely above-board in her professional dealings, reacted saying, “He (Abbas Tyrewala) has lied. He has deposited a cheque that was supposed to be used only if and when he did the work required for our film. This, he did not do. So we don’t owe him any money.”
Preity further states that Tyrewala didn’t possess any written document regarding his agreement with Preity’s production house. “He signed no papers, did no work for us and yet took a cheque from us that was not meant to be taken. If he has any any proof or any paperwork proving he has done any work for us he is most welcome to take a payment.”
Preity says, “We stopped his payment because we didn’t owe him anything. Now he claims a cheque for work that he did not do has bounced.”
Apparently every single person who worked in Ishkq In Paris has been paid. Preity affirms and adds, “Yes, we’ve paid everyone. If we owed this guy (Tyrewala) we would have paid him too. I cannot and will not pay someone for work he has not done. He abused my trust and goodwill and took a cheque from me which was meant to be used only if he worked for us.”
Preity has proof of Tyrewala’s allegedly fraudulent monetary claims.
“We have submitted our proof to the court. We will take appropriate action against him now that he has taken the matter to court and involved the media for publicity. I am not stupid to put myself at risk with a bounced cheque for a relatively meager sum of money.”

I am a lazy actor: Kajol
Mumbai: Actress Kajol, who is now set to make another comeback to the big screen, says she is a lazy actor.
Kajol, 39, took a sabbatical from full-time acting in 2001 and returned to films with the 2006 romantic thriller `Fanaa`. But, afterwards she was only seen in cameo appearances.
She was last seen in a prominent role in Karan Johar`s home production `We Are Family` (2010).
"I am lazy... I can`t do more work or films beyond some extent. Two films a year is enough for me so that I feel I am working. I don`t think of any film as mine till I start shooting for it. After I start working then it is mine... It is a healthy attitude," Kajol told reporters in an interview.
Asked what keeps her in demand despite not being in the limelight, Kajol said, "May be I am away from work, that is why I am in demand. I am working for more than 20 years, but I have done little work, handful of films. There are others who do three times or four times more films than I do."
And now she is set to return with husband Ajay Devgn`s home production.
"It is a nice script and story but nothing to talk about it as of now.... It is too premature," she says.
But she also added that she will not be seen regularly in films as family is her priority now.
"Definitely I will not do films regularly. I will take time off. I don`t want to do film just for the heck of it. I have a full life; I have a husband, two kids, house, a production company and other things.
"So for me to take out time and do a film that means that film needs to have something strong... I need to believe in this film and I will do wonders with it," she said.
As to Ajay`s production company, she says she is
creatively involved, but not into the nitty-gritty. And though she is not an avid movie-goer, she does not miss her husband`s films.
"I enjoy all his work... He is a fabulous and fine actor. He does a variety of films like `Satyagraha`, `Golmaal`, `Singham`.
I respect him a lot as an actor. He has the courage to do different things which I don`t think any other actor can claim.
"He was not comfortable with comedy initially before `Golmaal`, but now he is. He has done a variety of roles. I can`t think of a role that I can`t cast him in, he convinces you in every role he does," Kajol said.

am a known face and name.”The `Madhubala` fame actress won the title, while Lauren Gottlieb was the first-runner up and Sonali and Sumanth won the third place. Singer Shaan was among the four finalists.
