Asked if she wants a reunion of the band in future, Bunton said: "I`d love to do something like that again. That`s the thing with us, we do love working together."

Mads Mikkelsen Really Wants to Kill Shia Labeouf in 'Charlie Countryman' Trailer

Having a dead man slobbering all over Shia Labeouf's shoulder is certainly an odd way to open a love story, but Fredrik Bond’s first feature film Charlie Countryman seems comfortable with being an uncomfortable mish-mash of genres.

In the film, Labeouf plays an American that travels to the Romanian city of Bucharest, but when a fellow airplane passenger passes away, he meets and falls in love with the dead man's daughter, Gabi (Evan Rachel Wood). Unfortunately, a ruthless Romanian gangster has already "claimed" Gabi and doesn’t plan on letting her or Charlie go. What follows is a dangerous journey into the depths of the Romanian underworld that threatens to swallow Charlie whole.
Labeouf seems to be running full bore away from anything remotely robotic or blockbuster-like. He has sworn off of Hollywood's love for big action flicks, and turned his focus to smaller films. With Charlie Countryman, he grows his hair out to almost Bohemian lengths, dons a patchy beard, and hides away (from Decepticons) in the grimy streets of Bucharest for this indie thriller with a dirty, otherworldly essence. But to call this simply an indie thriller would be a bit disingenuous. It flirts with several styles of film while blanketing it all with a hallucinatory haze.

The movie has a cast full of diverse actors including Rupert Grint, Vincent D'Onofrio, and Melissa Leo, but the clear standout is Mads Mikkelsen who manages to terrify and enthrall in the short glimpses we see of him in the trailer. When an actor like Mikkelsen manages to make his previous turn as Hannibal Lecter seem levelheaded and friendly by comparison, he's really outdone himself in the villiany department.

Sofia Vergara's Relationship With Her Son Lands Her a TV Show

'Modern Family' star Sofia Vergara parties in the VIP section of the Style Icon pre Superbowl XLV party, at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel in Dallas,Texas.
Pictured: Sofia Vergara with son Manolo and boyfriend Nick Loeb
Ref: SPL246108 060211
Picture by: Tom Vickers / Splash News

Splash News and Pictures
Los Angeles: 310-821-2666
New York: 212-619-2666
London: 870-934-2666
photodesk@splashnews.com

Not content to simply be the highest-paid actress on television right now, Sofia Vergara will reportedly give producing a try. The Modern Family star is in talks to produce a half-hour comedy for ABC called Raising Mom, which will be based on her experiences as a single mother. Vergara's longtime business partner Luis Balaguer supposedly concieved the idea after watching the actress raise and interact with her son Manolo.

The comedy will follow a young single mother and her 21-year old son, whose co-dependent relationship gets in the way of their love lives and desire for independence. Gail Mancuso, who has previously worked with Vergara on Modern Family, is signed on to direct, while Raising Hope's Christine Zander will write it. Since the show is still in the early development stage, there is no word yet who will take on the "Sofia" and "Manolo" roles. Regardless, Raising Mom is sure to benefit from Vergara's fame and will probably draw a large portion of its audience from Modern Family fans.
Vergara's sitcom will join a recent trend of comedies about young parents and their children "raising" each other. Raising Hope centers around a young parent and his mother and father, who had him when they were teenagers, attempting to raise a baby together, while CBS's Mom focuses on a young mother and her mother, both of whom are recently sober. That's not to mention the influx of new comedies this season which touch on parents moving in with their adult children in middle age — including The Millers, starring Will Arnett and Margo Martindale, and the universally panned Dads. Even The Crazy Ones has Sarah Michelle Gellar attempting to wrangle her father and business partner, played by Robin Williams.

Raising Mom has the difficult task of distinguishing itself not only from the list of co-dependent-parent-and-children comedies, but also from Vergara's other show, Modern Family. Hopefully, it will develop enough interesting elements to make itself stand out, as there really is only so much material that can be mined from a traditional family-centered comedy. The show has the advantage of a recognizable name that will draw in a sizable audience, but it may be difficult for them to hold onto that audience or even gain new viewers if the show relies soley on the Modern Family connection. Although, as long as nobody takes inspiration from Bob Saget's quickly-cancelled 2001 series Raising Dad, everything should be fine.

Kate Bosworth never dreamed of wedding

Kate Bosworth never dreamed of wedding

Kate Bosworth never thought she would get married.
The 30-year-old actress tied the knot with film director Michael Polish on August 31 at The Ranch at Rock Creek in Philipsburg, Montana, and their relationship is based on them always being '100 per cent honest' but she never dreamed of being a bride.
The 'Big Sur' said: 'I never actually thought about what I wanted for my wedding. There are some women who know exactly, from the moment they can speak.'
Michael broke his foot two weeks before their wedding in a motorcycle accident and the crash ensured she didn't get cold feet before their nuptials.
Kate, who previously dated Orlando Bloom and Alexander Skarsgard, said: 'There was this moment of him in the ER hospital bed, battered and bruised, and it was like, here we are, for better or worse, sickness and health.'
The super svelte actress only adopted a healthy lifestyle shortly before her wedding and previously existed on junk food.
She told the November issue of Lucky magazine that she 'lived on' calorie-laden foods including pizza and pasta throughout her twenties.
However, the blonde beauty is much more careful about what she eats these days.
She said: 'Now it's about sustaining energy.'
Kate loves to whip up romantic meals at homes rather than dining out all of the time as she enjoys 'cooking and dancing in the kitchen.'

The Brilliant Ways In Which ABC’s ‘Scandal’ Deals With Race

Scandal
Last week ABC’s hit series Scandal made its third season premiere, and with 10.5 million viewers tuning in, it’s safe to say that creator Shonda Rhimes is doing something right. Well, we’d say she’s doing a lot of things right, and one of those things is the way in which she deals with race.

The season premiere had two especially brilliant moments that subtly/not-so-subtly brought up the question of race and racial politics in Washington D.C. and in American society. First, there was the explosive conversation between main character Olivia Pope (played by Kerry Washington) and her father, who we are just now getting to know. Olivia’s father comes down on her hard for her recent troubles, having been outed as lover to the President of the United States. Without saying anything specific about the fact that they are black professionals working in a system/country where they are the minority, he simply demands that she repeat the one lesson he has taught her since she was a young girl: You have to be twice as good as them to get half of what they have.
And instead of dwelling on what that really means — and how powerful (and true) that statement is — the characters move on, and the show goes on and we’re left with our jaws on the floor. And because of that, we love Shonda Rhimes.
We also love that the Vice President on the show is a total right-wing, conservative Republican woman who — in the middle of the season premiere — comes down on the gay White House Chief of Staff and casually throws this one out there:
I have never once mentioned what I think of your Godless homosexual lifestyle and that poor sweet brown baby you dragged into it.
Whew! And then the characters move on, and the story goes on and — once again — we’re all left with our jaws on the floor.
Even though Rhimes and her writers do not appear to dwell on the issue of race, it shows up in every episode just as it did in the recent season premiere. The very fact that the main relationship on the show is an interracial one is significant, but it’s complicated by the fact that Olivia Pope is not just a black woman in love with a white man; she’s in love with the President of the United States. And he’s in love with her. Race, though a real issue that comes up at times between them, is not the primary issue and this alone makes for a compelling racial narrative.

Telugu filmmaker Krish will direct ‘Gabbar’, which will be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
"Kareena`s name has come up for the role of the leading lady. She hasn`t been approached yet, but she is likely to be signed on for the role. She is expected to play Akshay`s wife in the film, which will also feature another heroine," a source said.
In case Kareena joins the project, she will essay the role originally played by Simran - she did a special appearance in ‘Ramanaa’. Ashima Bhalla was the other heroine in the film.
"We haven`t confirmed the heroine yet. Currently, we are busy with the pre-production work and when we zero in on the leading lady, we`ll announce it. It`s too early to confirm anything at this stage," Krish said.
‘Ramanaa’, helmed by A.R. Murugadoss, was an action movie where the protagonist embarks on a journey to make the society corruption free. It also featured Vijayakanth, Vijayan, Yugi Sethu, Riyaz Khan and Ravichandran in important roles.

Ranveer Singh is in love!

New Delhi: Of all the Bollywood actors populating Bollywood, Ranveer Singh is the most daring one who never ever shies away from confessing his dark secrets or romantic liaisons (remember his confession on his one-night stands?).

Expect nothing but only the juiciest gossip or spiciest news from Ranveer which makes him media’s darling. During an interview to a popular daily, the ‘Ram-Leela’ actor spoke about his new-found love.
Apparently, after being down with the deadly dengue, Ranveer has been bitten by the love bug. "It`s good. It`s rocking. I love being in love. It`s the best feeling in the world. I have never felt like this before. Main aur kuch bolunga nahi as mujhe nazar bahut lagti hai. (I won’t say anything as I get affected by the evil eye very easily). Front page pe meri nangi photo aa gayi, socho mujhe machchar ne kaat diya! But main bahut khush hoon. (My semi-nude picture got published on the front of the newspaper. Just imagine, the mosquito bit me!) And I feel if this is not being in love, then what is? Woh kaun hai nahi bataoonga, but kuch toh hai. (I won’t reveal who the girl is but there is something that I can feel)," said the actor.
The good part is that Ranveer is quite sure about his heart this time. He said, "I feel it is love. Dekhiye mujhe ho gaya hai lovaria."
He also went on to gush about his co-actor Deepika Padukone. "Humari Deepikaji ko dekh lo, kya physical appearance hai. Jab aati hain screen pe, aur kuch dikhta hi nahi hai. (Look at Deepika’s physical appearance. Whenever she comes on screen, (I) can’t see anything else). To get attention in the frame, I had to take off my shirt, put in all this energy, change my look, but I used to tell her when we watched the scenes on the monitor that she is so visually stunning that the eye keeps going only to her. I can keep doing whatever hell I want, but when I watch it, I don`t look at myself, I only look at her. She is great and has a good immunity against lovaria as she is usually detached," added the new patient of ‘lovaria’.
Well, if Deepika is really the girl in Ranveer’s life, then we just hope that she reciprocates the feelings in the similar vein.
When Amitabh Bachchan met Salman Khan

Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan made his presence felt on the sets of Salman Khan’s latest and greeted the ‘Dabangg’ star and also enquired about his nerve ailment.

The veteran and his younger colleague were seen embracing each other. The megastar posted images on Twitter that show him having chat with the hunk of an actor.

Salman was shooting for ‘Mental’ (a tentative title) that also stars Tabu.
Big B took to Twitter to write, “Meet the lovely Tabu and Salman shooting on next floor ... always a joy to be with colleagues (sic).”.
Then added, “Salman shooting on next floor .. meet up and enquire of his nerve ailment ... he is improving !! (sic).”
The thespian, like several others was worried about Salman’s health. The Pathan had flown to the US for treatment a couple of years back but the problem seems to have recurred. But the ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ star is on back on the road to recovery.
Big B tweeted, “Chatting with Salman about his nerve problem .. he says he is recovering fast .. good !! (sic).”
The legendary actor also shared some time with his ‘Cheeni Kum’ co-star Tabu, who plays a pivotal role in Salman’s film.
With Salman confirming to Big B that he is feeling better, fans of the superstar can now heave a sigh of relief.

Rekha: A life of an enigma

Rekha: A life of an enigma
Born as a love child to a Tamil actor and a Telugu actress, acting was something which came as an innate talent to Rekha.

Following in the footsteps of her father Gemini Ganesan- who was a successful actor, Rekha had made up her mind to venture into the same field. Forced by the difficult financial situations on the family front, Rekha was left with no other option but to leave her school to try her luck in films.
Little did people know that Rekha- who ventured into the film industry at a very young age without any Godfather -would become one of the top actresses of the film industry overcoming the language hurdle!
With a father, who never acknowledged her paternity and a critically ill mother, Rekha was out to fend against all the difficulties.
Recalling those knotty times, Rekha revealed in an interview that her initial days (when she was just 13 years old) in Bombay were ‘frightening’ and there were people who tried to take advantage of her helplessness.
Rekha’s first movie in the lead role- ‘Sawan Bhadon’ emerged as a Box-Office hit. However, this southern beauty was heavily criticised for her curvy frame and looks. She disclosed to a leading daily that she was called an ‘Ugly Duckling’ because of her dark complexion.
It was in the late 1970’s that Rekha’s image was transformed to that of a glamorous diva. From an ‘ugly duckling’, she turned into a beautiful Swan and since then there was no looking back.
She soon bagged meaty roles in ‘Do Anjaane’, ‘Ghar’, ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’ etc, which helped her emerge as an actor par excellence and as a dream girl too.
With time Rekha touched new heights of success in her career with every movie she signed. ‘Khubsoorat’ helped her bag her first Filmfare Best Actress Award for effortless portrayal of a young bubbly girl.
In her filmi career, Rekha’s onscreen chemistry with Amitabh Bachchan was much appreciated by the audience. The duo did many films together and thus sprang rumours of their off-screen romance. ‘Silsila’ was their last movie together, which also starred Amitabh Bachchan’s wife Jaya Bachchan.
After ‘Silsila’, Rekha took up more challenging and mature roles like that of ‘Umrao Jaan’. She showed her versatility in acting by flawlessly depicting the character of a troubled courtesan onscreen. This heart wrenching story helped her bag the National Award for Best Actress.
After ‘Umrao Jaan’, Rekha worked in many films- ‘Ek Hi Bhool’, ‘Kalyug’, ‘Utsav’ etc. But it was her commendable performance in ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’ that helped her bag her second Filmfare for Best Actress.
Rekha’s cameo in ‘Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love’, a film by Mira Nair in the 1990s was much appreciated. ‘Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi’, a hardcore commercial flick, which released in the same decade saw her play the female lead opposite a much younger Akshay Kumar. While her contemporaries had started essaying character roles, Rekha was still romancing men onscreen.
In 2000, Rekha’s performance in ‘Lajja’ was appreciated by the audience as well as the critics. She received several nominations for her performance.
Coming to her personal life, Rekha tied the knot with Delhi-based industrialist Mukesh Aggarwal in 1990. Sadly, the marriage ended after Aggarwal committed suicide just a year later.
At present, the glamorous diva lives quite a secluded life, except for a few public appearances, which are generally- award functions.
Brand Rekha is a classic example of a self-created personality.
We wish the evergreen actress a very happy birthday!
