Despite staging her actual comeback in 2008 with Circus, it wasn't until recently that it felt like Britney Spears might actually be returning to her former glory. Nothing showcases that more than the video for her latest single, "Work, B**ch". While the song itself is the kind of generic but annoyingly catchy pop that Spears has made her trademark, there's something remarkable about the video. No, not the scantily clad women on leashes, or the obvious product placement. The most striking thing about the video is that Spears looks better and healthier than she has in years.

In fact, Spears looks so good that watching "Work, B**ch" feels a bit like watching one of the pop diva's old videos — Spears and her team seem to feel the same way, as the video is full of references to "Classic Britney." Between the "Slave 4 U" dance moves in a pink, "Lucky"-style gown and an outfit and set inspired by "Me Against the Music," it's obvious that this is the comeback that Spears needs in order to once again hold her own on the pop charts. Oh, and did we mention that she's dancing again? She's clearly trying to erase all memories of her awkward "Gimme More" performances by going all out on the choreography.

Spears' return to form comes at a very important time, as she recently confirmed her upcoming Vegas residency (which is why the video feels like a four-minute ad for the shows). While tickets would probably sell out regardless of what condition Spears is in, but audiences have high standards for her concerts, and exceeding them would be exactly what she needs to finally put all of her bad press behind her. Whatever happens, "Work, B**ch" seems to be working for her, in more ways than one, so maybe this will finally be the Britney Spears comeback that works.

Don't share North's photo, Kim Kardashian warns family

Los Angeles: Socialite Kim Kardashian, whose family - mother, Kris Jenner, and sisters, Kourtney and Khloe, are active on social networking platforms, has reportedly warned them not to share her daughter North`s photographs while she attends the Paris Fashion Week.

Kim is in Paris with partner Kanye West.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star has left her baby, North West, in the care of her mother and sisters. She is said to have instructed them to be extra cautious about the pictures they share on Twitter and Instagram while she is away, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"Kim does not think for one minute that her mom or sisters would try to sell pictures of North. Her concern was that everyone in the family loves to post pictures of what they are doing all the time on Twitter, and that this is something that she does not want to happen while she is away," said a source.
"She knows her daughter is in safe hands, not very discrete hands, but safe," the source added.
So far, Kim, 32, has only released one image of her baby girl since she gave birth to her in June.

Undeniable Proof That Sandra Bullock and George Clooney Are Meant to Be Together

Not too long after George Clooney's breakup with longtime girlfriend Stacy Keibler, the actor was rumored to have had an "adult sleepover" with ex-girlfriend Monika Jakisic, according to Us Weekly. Here's the issue: He belongs with Sandra Bullock and no one else. It's been a long time coming, but it's time for Clooney and Bullock to realize that they are meant to be. Here are a few reasons why the power stars would make the ultimate power couple:
They both have a sense of humor
There's no denying that Bullock has a funnybone (she's been in a zillion comedies), and as for Clooney, according to a story that Bullock shared on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, he likes to pull pranks on her. The most recent being Clooney tricking her into jumping into a pool by herself. George, any lady that can deal with your pranks is a keeper.

They're close to the same age
She's 49 and he's 52. Now we're not saying that age determines how well a relationship will turn out, just that Clooney hasn't had much luck with the younger gals he's vied for.

Her son loves him
Definitely the biggest plus on this list. If Bullock ever decides to date someone seriously again, then she's obviously going to want her son Louis to get along with him. Good news, Clooney and Louis are already best friends. "My son thinks he's a very cool dude," Bullock told reporters at a Toronto International Film Festival press conference for Gravity (the new film that the pair star in together). "If there's a choice between me [and] George and Alfonso Cuaron (Gravity's director), my son will leave me to be with George and these guys. He's a boy's boy, so he has to go talk to the men."

They're old friends
They've been friends for over two decades! According to Us Weekly, Bullock said, "George and I have known each other for over 20 years. We've known each other since we got out of college. We have the same group of friends, so we've known each other since we had no work." If rom-coms have taught us anything, it's that best friends are always meant to be together. It's science.

There is so much sexual tension
Have you seen all of the photos of them on the red carpet while they've been promoting Gravity? There is so much chemistry there. Pictures don't lie, people.

Michelle Rodriguez's tail 'swings' both ways!

Los Angeles: Actress Michelle Rodriguez has revealed that she finds both men and women intriguing.

"I`ve never walked the carpet with anyone... Plus, I play a butchy girl all the time, so they assume I`m a lesbo," Rodriguez told Entertainment Weekly magazine.

"Eh, they`re not too far off. I`ve gone both ways. I do as I please. I am too f**king curious to sit here and not try when I can. Men are intriguing. So are chicks," added the 35-year-old.

Los Angeles: `Sherlock Holmes` actor Benedict Cumbetbatch and former ‘Harry Potter’ star Emma Watson have been named the world`s sexiest film stars in a new poll by movie magazine.

Cumberbatch managed to beat last year`s sexiest man alive, Ryan Gosling, who only came in at number 4, and also overcame Jude Law, fellow Brit Henry Cavill, and James Bond star Daniel Craig, who finished at number 24 in the Empire magazine conducted poll, reported E! online.
Watson also beat an impressive list of Hollywood bombshell`s which included Mila Kunis, Cameron Diaz, Emma Stone, Olivia Wilde and star of upcoming comedy "Don Jon" Scarlet Johansson, who came in at number 2.
"It is a great result for British stars, but what`s clear is that it`s less important to have lots of casual fans and better to have a dedicated hard-core," James Dyer, digital editor of Empire magazine, said.
Cumberbatch was highly amused by the poll`s outcome and said, "It puts a bit of a spring in your step. It`s nice, you swagger a little bit, it`s enjoyable. I`ve punched well above my weight this year... I find it hysterically funny... It`s a giggle. I wield it with a massive smile."
Watson and Cumberbatch have had a busy and successful year in 2013.
Watson starred in the summer hit ‘The Bling Ring’ that was released back on June 14 and Cumberbatch will be seen in upcoming films such as ‘12 Years A Slave’, ‘August: Osange County’ ‘The Fifth State’.

Los Angeles: Socialite Khloe Kardashian, who is going through marital strife with husband Lamar Odom, says she is trying her best to resurrect it.

The couple has been facing a rough patch in their marriage following news of the basketball player`s drug intake and extra marital affair.

Khloe, 29, shared her views with her fans via a Facebook chat Tuesday, reports radaronline.com.

When one of her fan posted: "I think you`re so amazing and beautiful and love how you carry yourself through all of these hard times! You are such an inspiration to me."

Khloe responded by saying: "I`m trying my best! Kisses."

Odom and Khloe have been married for four years.

We've reached the point at which were moreover tired of lamenting (or defending) Miley Cyrus' VMAs performance, but we're still up for an odd joke or two about the whole debacle. And since it's especially funny when celebrities come to terms with their own ill-conceived antics, jumping on the bandwagon of regret with a few gags up their sleeves, we'd love to hear Miley herself throw in a jab or two at whatever the hell she was doing that fateful Sunday night. And although she mines the event for humor in her new promo for Saturday Night Live, it's clear that she sees no error in the bizarre ordeal: she and SNL star Taran Killam are making fun of the reactions to Cyrus' performance, not the performance itself.

Still, some of us hold fast to the specks of charm emanated by Cyrus. She might be a loon, might be heading for a shame explosion of Bieberic proportions, but she's got some degree of likability still resting on her shoulders. So check out the above promo and see if she makes up for her recent malfeasances on Saturday night's show.

Saturday Night Live had its season premiere this past weekend and it was not the most earth-shattering episode. There were a lot of newcomers to the show and they had to have their hands held by Tina Fey and surprise guest star Aaron Paul. That ends the recap portion of this piece. I'm looking ahead to what could happen with these people and whether they have room to grow or will some of them be thrown back into the pond.
Some big fish have already left for other projects. Andy Samberg is on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Seth Meyers is getting the Late Night slot behind fellow SNL alumnus Jimmy Fallon. Change is the name of the game for Lorne Michaels' crew, but this is a big difference. When Jay Pharoah is a veteran on the show, then there's a big gap. Also, when another veteran of sorts, Taran Killam, is known more for being Mr. Cobie Smulders, then yeah, it's basically a rebuilding year.
Of course, when one of your first moments on the show EVER is what amounts to a fraternity hazing ritual (Fey had the new cast come out wearing glittery yellow tuxedos and do a ridiculous song-and-dance number), there's nowhere to go but up. The problem is that they were very vanilla. There were very few, if any laughs. The newcomer who did the best was Noel Wells, who did a fantastic Lena Dunham impersonation in a Girls spoof. She has a lot of potential and could possibly become one of the breakout stars if she keeps it up.
We have to assume that these are very talented people - Michaels wouldn't have chosen them if they weren't. But they are going to be like rookies on a baseball team for now, getting sporadic playing time. As the season goes on and they get more comfortable, there will be a shift of sorts and they'll get more prominence, but they have to earn it.
Remember, some of the most successful people in show business have had some less than stellar debuts. I think Conan O'Brien burned every single copy of his debut on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. I remember seeing that episode when it first aired as a senior in college (Yes, I'm old, thank you) and thinking that he wasn't going to last. Well, he got into a groove and now has his own show on TBS. So, the new cast can take heart, they will likely get a chance to bloom into prime-time players.

Los Angeles: Actress Gwyneth Paltrow went bare under a sleek tuxedo jacket while shooting for an advertising campaign.

The 41-year-old shot for the ad campaign for Hugo Boss` Jour Pour Femme fragrance here, reports eonline.com.

She completed the look with cropped black trousers and black heels, and in some photographs, she can also be seen in a white blouse under the jacket.
Paltrow is said to be earning $2 million for being the face of Boss` newest perfume, which the design house has billed as a light and fresh daytime fragrance.

Washington: The fourth installment of ` The Chronicles Of Narnia` film series is set to be adapted into a movie.

The C.S. Lewis Company executives have granted Mark Gordon`s company the rights to jointly develop and produce a movie adaptation of the fourth book, ` The Silver Chair`, Contactmusic reported.

The ` Saving Private Ryan` producer issued a statement announcing the fourth installment of the author`s fantasy book series.
He added that he is a huge fan of Lewis` "beautiful and allegorical world of Narnia" and is preparing to bring the next book to life.
The first Narnia trilogy, starring Liam Neeson as the voice of lion ` Aslan` and Tilda Swinton as the ` White Witch`, grossed a total of 1.6 billion dollars at the global box office, and ` The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader `, earned 415 million dollars.

We recently learned that actress Cate Blanchett is getting ready to make her directorial debut. This is awesome because 1.) it’s Cate Blanchett and 2.) it’s always cool to see more women getting behind the camera. Many of us are familiar with the big names — Sofia Coppola, Kathryn Bigelow, and Miranda July for the indie-lovers. But there are plenty of other women filmmakers who are making good, quality productions and who should be on everyone’s radar. Spike Lee recently made an addendum to his list of Essential Films and added five female filmmakers; here are some up-and-comers we think might make similar lists in a few years.

Ellen Page
The Oscar-nominated actress best known for her leading roles in Juno and Inception will soon make her directorial debut with Miss Stevens. We’re seriously excited about the coming-of-age story (starring Anna Faris) that she’ll be bringing to the big screen.

Susanne Bier
Probably best known for her 2007 film Things We Lost In The Fire (starring Halle Berry and Benicio del Toro), Bier’s next film Serena will re-team Jennifer Lawrence with her Silver Linings Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper. Set in Depression-era North Carolina and based on the book by Ron Nash, we’re expecting big things from this seasoned director.

Kat Coiro
Having found some success with indie flicks like L!fe Happens and the hilarious short Idiots (starring Zoe Saldana and Kate Bosworth), Coiro’s most-recent release And While We Were Here -- an affair film starring Bosworth and Iddo Goldberg -- debuted to strong reviews at the Tribeca Film Festival and later in theatres. We’re looking forward to more slow-moving love stories and comedic-dramas with strong femme leads from Coiro.

Celebrities and photographers have always had some kind of love/hate relationship, with the celebrities accepting it for the most part. The photographers have been really crossing a lot of lines over the years, though. They've begun taking pictures of their kids, like Michael Jackson's daughter Paris and others. These kids should be allowed to have a childhood, even if their parents spend nearly every waking moment in the public spotlight. They shouldn't have to worry about the flashbulbs going on around them as well.
It's stressful on the kids and it may have played a part in Paris Jackson's suicide attempt. It's not out of the realm of possibility that many of these kids will find themselves in therapy as they get older due to this constant glare of the spotlight. It just can't be healthy to one's psyche. It doesn't make one feel normal. They live a life of excess, yes. They can go wherever they like due to their parents' wealth. But that should not be held against them by photographers who are just looking to get a buck.
A clearer line has been drawn and hopefully it will become etched in stone. We'll see if those photographers, many of them freelancers who need to get some kind of exclusive to get paid, heed it. Overall, it's a good law.Hopefully it will bring peace to Suri Cruise. Goodness knows, we've had our fill of photos of her parents.

When pop singers reach the top of the music world, there’s nowhere else to go but venture into other territories. Many stars feel that because they’re oh-so-creative they should further express themselves through acting. Though some music stars make decent actors (see: Will Smith, Queen Latifah, Mandy Moore), majority of pop stars are 90% ego and 10% talent when it comes to their acting chops. Here’s a rundown of some of the worst pop stars turned actors.

Rihanna
2012’s Battleship was a flop, and although that wasn’t Rihanna’s fault, she certainly didn’t help matters. Her monotonous delivery of lines and could-give-a-f**k attitude seeped through her role in the film, and she ended up getting a Golden Razzie for Worst Supporting Actress, most likely the only acting award she’ll ever get. She barely even had any lines in the film, proving that even the filmmakers thought she was hopeless, and was instead used to mostly stand in one spot and look gorgeous. Vulture hilariously put together a collection of all Rihanna’s lines in the movie (spoiler: they’re virtually all one-liners) that's actually better than the film itself.

Justin Timberlake
This is definitely going to be one that not everyone agrees with, but according to yours truly, Justin Timberlake needs to stick to his day job. Timberlake has an impressive resume of films below his belt, which is ridiculous, considering that he simply cannot act. If it’s obvious that you’re acting, you’re not a good actor – simple as that. Regardless of how decent he may seem in a movie (in which case I’d like to smoke what you’re smoking), he is consistently the weakest link in every movie that he’s in, and yes, that most definitely includes The Social Network. Seeing Timberlake around real actors makes his lack of acting talent all the more palpable. He’s also been in many more flops than people like to admit, and if he was any other struggling actor, there’s no way he would’ve gotten as many chances as he had. Timberlake is at his best doing SNL skits and making music, but he seriously needs to say bye, bye, bye to his dreams of Oscar.

Britney Spears
Oh, Britney. Anyone remember the 2002 magnum opus that was Crossroads? The film was didn’t do as well as expected, but in all fairness, the plot dealt with some pretty heavy stuff, including rape, teen pregnancy, and estranged parents. Spears’ acting was lackluster at best, with the main attraction being her famous midriff and her performances in the film. She also appeared on How I Met Your Mother in 2008, with barely any comedic timing. Spears always seems like she’s playing Britney Spears saying some lines – never the character. The good thing about Spears is that she seems to know that she’s not Meryl Streep (unlike a certain ex-boyfriend of hers), and even though she’s not the best actress, or even a good one, for that matter, she still comes off as endearing.

Jessica & Ashlee Simpson
You know how sometimes great acting genes can run in a family? Well, apparently it works the other way, too. Both Simpson sisters are dismal actresses with a string of bad scenes under their belts. Jessica’s only contribution to The Dukes of Hazzard was wearing daisy dukes and a pink bikini, an image that is also synonymous with her entire acting “career.” Ashlee was called out by a source on Melrose Place for being an “embarrassingly bad” actress and her stint was eventually cut short (aka she was told to sashay away from the series). But hey – there’s no better type of sisterly bonding than being nominated for Razzies together, amiright?

Madonna
She may have a (debatable-if-she-deserved-it) Golden Globe under her belt, but Madonna is known for being a great pop star who moonlights as a terrible actress. Case in point: Shanghai Surprise, Who’s That Girl, Body of Evidence, The Next Best Thing, Swept Away, and any interview where Madonna tries to say something nice about her competitors. She always comes off as blank and wooden, and the fact that she’s acting, as opposed to actually being the character, is always extremely apparent. Now, if all of the movies she’s been in are actually comedies, though, I take back all my words.

‘Besharam’ review: Just not enough Masala!

‘Besharam’, Ranbir Kapoor’s latest release has a basic problem - it does not live up to its name.
When you watch Ranbir you do not expect an out and out ‘Besharam’ comedy. However you do expect some smart assery if that is what is projected in all its promos. Good performances, the Kapoor clan, and some good humour could not really create the magic that you expect from the entire crew. The young Kapoor is a teen heart throb, here he tries to be more, and doesn’t really do too well.
‘Dabbang’ was a great make of classic masala film making that came from Abhinav Kashyap, and was pulled off with élan by Salman Khan. Salman stood out in his archaic 1990s hero avatar, delivering loudmouthed-applause-inducing dialogues looking as if he spoke like this every day. Despite Ranbir’s refreshing acting skills, he falls short – probably because he looks just out of ‘Wake up Sid’ cuteness.
Humour is just spattered insufficiently and inconsistently. The parts where you end up enjoying the most are Rishi and Neetu Kapoor’s sequences, and by the end you are disappointed that they did not have as much screen time as you would have liked. It looks like Abhinav wanted to work with a plot that involved all three, but his ambitions stopped short right there. He did not bother with a plot line which was fantastical enough to accommodate all three of them sharing the screen space and make a compelling must watch blockbuster.
The story revolves around a good hearted orphan, Babli (Ranbir), who has grown up to be a car thief. He falls for the ‘beauty’ Tara Sharma (Pallavi Sharda). Rishi and Neetu play a slightly corrupt, cop couple - Chulbul and Bulbul Chautala. The movie has a predictable plot, atypical of masala flicks, using stereotypes of every kind. The love story between Babli and Tara is unconvincing. Not that you need a why and a how, but it doesn’t build up at all.
Also, one major grouse I had with the movie was that I was waiting to understand why Babli was called Besharam in the first place. By the standards of how Indian movie heroes are generally shown wooing ladies, Babli was quite a softy, giving flowers to the leading ladies mom, carrying her grocery. Apart from what you have seen in the promos, Ranbir never goes beyond pulling out socks from his pants.
The other two Kapoors are fantastic. Every time Rishi and Neetu appear on screen they manage to entertain. From the first chase sequence to the climax, the few minutes that they have, they have pulled off the chemistry that they were known for back in the 70s. Neetu Kapoor plays gutsy, stands on equal footing as Rishi, and has a good comic timing. She jibes and jokes with Rishi, who is equally cute with her whenever they are seen together. It’s like watching an old endearing couple still in love who have managed to keep the fire alive because of their romance infused in a sense of humour.

The first half of the movie is rather floppy, but the second half of the movie picks up the plot. But the climax is worth watching. Rishi, Neetu and Ranbir fight side by side; Rishi Kapoor takes the centre stage and you realise Kashyap probably made the movie only for this scene.

The music of the movie comes from Lalit Pandit who is the part of the 90s famed Jatin-Lalit duo. ‘Dil Ka Joh Haal Hai’ which is filmed near the traditional lahlahate sarso ke khet sounds like a track straight out of that decade. Another refreshing track is ‘Love ki Ghanti’ which reminds you of Kishore Kumar’s fun songs from the 60s. It has a conversation structure and sounds really fun! The title track and the other tracks, even though nothing to write home about are more or less enjoyable.

As Ranbir fan, one would not really mind the movie. But it does not make an impact as ‘Dabbang’ moment for the hero. The superstar in the making is probably is a much better actor than a masala entertainer and that’s something that he has proven in his previous movies. The filmmaker did not have a proper vision for an actor of Ranbir’s calibre and this one is certainly not the best for either of them!

Salman Khan is my favorite actor: Miss Universe Olivia Culpo

New Delhi: Miss Universe Olivia Culpo has revealed that she is a big fan of actor Salman Khan.
During an exclusive interview with ANI, the 21-year old American beauty pageant titleholder said, "I love Bollywood movies and Salman Khan is my favorite".

Culpo, who is currently on a 10-day visit to India to create awareness on social issues such as girl child, female infanticide and women empowerment, also admitted that she would love to star in a Bollywood movie.

Bigg Boss 7' dairies day 16: Why is Ratan Rajput taking a cow dung bath?

It’s that day when Bigg Boss 7 house inmates move from all the talking to action – tasks!
Ratan Rajput in a tub full of cow dung, taking a luxury bath for almost an hour – that definitely stinks! No that’s no fetish that this petite TV star has, but that was a task that Ms Rajput completed and earned a point for her hell teammates in the Bigg Boss 7 house. The task was originally assigned to Elli Avram who turned it down.
Bigg Boss announced a new wacky luxury budget task – scientists and guinea pigs. As a part of which smoke was released in the house and everyone was asked to vacate the house. Then an announcement was made – the hell-mates were infected by a deadly virus and that they needed treatment that only the heaven-mates (doctors/scientists) could treat. The woes of the hell-mates multiplied as they were put on a liquid diet as part of the treatment. The doctors were not allowed to touch the infected hell-mates else they will get infected.
As part of the first treatment, Bigg Boss called doctors Gauahar and Tanisha in the lab and asked them to give 2 names who will take the treatment of getting their hair coloured. After discussing, Tanisha and Gauahar gave Andy and Kamya Punjabi’s name. Andy and Kamya were called inside the lab and Bigg Boss said that if they refused to do the task, they will lose a point and the heaven-mates will earn it. But Kamya and Andy sportingly agreed to get the treatment, which helped them gain a point.
Bigg Boss then announced that he has found the second treatment and called doctors Shilpa Agnihotri and Anita Advani inside the lab and there they saw a tub filled with cow-dung and Ratan sportingly took up this task.
As part of the third treatment, doctors Armaan and Tanisha were called in the lab. When they entered they saw three boxes that were kept, labelled as rats, snakes and spiders. But inside boxes were pineapples, a fake snake and toilet brush. They were asked to give a name who will be bound in a chair and blindfolded and will be given the impression that the actual animals are crawling on them. First they took Pratyusha’s name but after hearing the task, she refused to do it. Later they suggested Andy’s name. Andy readily agreed to do it, which earned them another point.
Now if we were to play this game with the Bigg Boss 7 house inmates we would chose the Gauhar as the Dil ka doctor; any guesses on who her patient would be?

DV Act: HC seeks case papers of complaint against Dimple Kapadia

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court has directed the city police to produce before it case papers pertaining to a complaint lodged by Anita Advani, who claims to have been the live-in partner of late actor Rajesh Khanna, against Khanna`s wife Dimple Kapadia and her family.
Justice Sadhana Jadhav was hearing a petition filed by Dimple and others seeking quashing of the case under the Domestic Violence Act.
"The respondent (Anita) has submitted some photographs and CCTV footages to substantiate her case. The prosecution shall produce all relevant case papers on October 11," Justice Jadhav directed recently.
Soon after the death of Khanna on July 18 last year, Anita had filed a complaint in the Bandra metropolitan magistrate court against Dimple and her family, including her daughters Twinkle and Rinkie, and son-in-law Akshay Kumar, under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act.
Anita had approached the magistrate after she claimed that the police failed to take action on her complaint.
In the complaint, Anita had included video and audio recording of Khanna`s signature being taken on a will forcibly and other footage to prove that she stayed in Khanna`s Aashirwad bungalow.
According to Anita, she was the actor`s live-in partner but was driven out of the suburban bungalow when Khanna fell sick. Anita had sought maintenance from Dimple and her family.
In her petition, Dimple contended that she was the legally wedded wife of Khanna and as such no other woman can claim share in the wealth left behind by her husband.

Mumbai: After directing films like ‘Bhatti On Chutti’ and ‘Mittal Vs Mittal’ among others, Karan Razdan now plans to make a biopic on the legendary actress Meena Kumari. The director is thinking of Huma Qureshi playing the Tragedy Queen but hasn`t approached her yet.

Seen as an ideal Indian woman on the big screen, Meena Kumari earned the Tragedy Queen title after playing sad roles in films like ‘Daera’ and ‘Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam’. Co-incidentally, her personal life was full of pain and sorrow and she died of liver cirrhosis in 1972. She was 39.
"I have spent about four years to do the research and write the script. We have just finished the script and we will start shooting from early next year," Razdan said.
"Meena Kumari`s life and her journey has been very fascinating. We want someone who could justify her role and I think Huma Qureshi will fit the bill. I want to cast her for the biopic. We have not approached her so far, but my team will be talking to her soon," he added.
Meanwhile, Razdan is happy about his book ‘Tantra & the Tantrika’.
"It`s a very informative book about art and science. It`s a fictional book," he said.

London: British singer Alexandra Burke has lent her support to PETA`s fight against animal cruelty. She has shot a nude picture which reads- `I`d rather go naked than wear fur`.
"So proud to reveal my PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) advert. It was a nerve wracking but brilliant experience for something I really believe in," Burke posted on Twitter.
The singer was nervous before the shoot, reports contactmusic.com
"I was nervous about posing nude as I`ve never done it before. It was uncomfortable initially, but the photographer made me feel relaxed and at ease...Ultimately, I love my body, so it was great to do something for such a worthwhile cause," she added.
Other celebrities who have starred in this campaign include model Christy Turlington, TV personality Bethenny Frankel, actress Olivia Munn among others.

Blake Lively's Lifestyle Company: Will It Be Another Goop?

As if being a successful actress, fashion muse, and wife to Ryan Reynolds weren't enough, Blake Lively is adding one more title to her resume. The blonde beauty is launching a lifestyle company that will likely cover fashion, food, travel, and home decor. "It's something that will be launching in a few months and that I'm really, really thrilled about," Lively gushed. "The main element of it is that it's about storytelling and it's about living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life, and how to achieve that. There's nothing like it out there — it's without a genre."
That might be a stretch, as entrepreneurial stars like Gwyneth Paltrow and Martha Stewart have also created lifestyle brands with their own unique visions. Perhaps Lively is joining the ranks of her fellow like-minded blondes but specifically targeting her own generation. Regardless, it sounds suspiciously similar to already-established lifestyle companies, especially Goop. Paltrow's site features recipes, styling tips, travel notes and wellness advice. Lively often mentions her cooking skills to the press, we all know she has impeccable style, and she recently shared her experience with decorating her home in Bedford, NY, with Lucky magazine. Wonder what her lifestyle site is going to be about.
Lively went on to say, "I have so many passions outside of acting and things that I grew up being good at and that I don't utilize when acting. Acting was something that my family did so I just kind of got into it by default, but there was so much that I cultivated, thinking that I wouldn't be an actor." Girl, we get it. You're good at stuff. You've won in life, but do we really need to be force-fed your way of living? If it's anything like Goop, it'll be filled with crocodile shoes we can't afford and duck ragout recipes we can't allow ourselves to eat if we want to look like the very inspiration behind the lifestyle. Not to mention, one company's unrealistic advice is more than enough.

Still, it remains to be seen how Lively's new venture will turn out. Maybe she'll make good on her promise that it'll be like nothing out there. Maybe it'll offer advice real humans can follow. Only time will tell, but either way, somewhere Gwyneth Paltrow is shaking her head and thinking, "How cute."

Fantasy Casting the '300 Sandwiches' Movie

Last week, the world learned about the blog 300 Sandwiches and its creator, New York Post reporter Stephanie Smith. And everyone had something to say about it.
Here's the gist, if you somehow managed to miss the story: Smith's boyfriend begged her for weeks to make him a sandwich and when she finally gave in, announced that she was only "300 sandwiches away from an engagement ring!" And, because this is how people's minds work these days, Smith decided to take on the challenge and document her it in a blog.
The project already sounds like a poorly envisioned romantic comedy, so why don't we turn it into one? We've got our dream cast all lined up, for both the real-life players and some fictional characters we added to the mix.

Los Angeles: Singer Britney Spears has vowed not to take her eight-year-old son onstage during her upcoming Las Vegas shows.

The 31-year-old is mother to Sean Preston, eight, and seven year old Jayden, and she announced last month that she wanted to incorporate her eldest boy into the concerts during her two-year residency in Sin City, reports contactmusic.com.

The move surprised her ex-husband, the boys` father Kevin Federline, but now a representative of Spears has spoken out to insist that she was joking.

'How I Met Your Mother' React: This Show Still Has Its Heart (Season 9, Episode 3)

It's always a little disarming — and more than a little embarrassing, if you're in the company of friends — when a show like How I Met Your Mother makes you tear up. But if in the same half hour of television viewing, you witness hordes of geriatrics swarming like zombies hungry for any mention of Mandy Patinkin and tremble over a heartwarming speech delivered by a woman concerned for her longtime friend's happiness, you've got a pretty good program on your hands. Now, we're likely all in the boat that HIMYM has been running steamless for the past few years. But three episodes in, Season 9 seems to have a little more pep than we've come to expect. Not quite early era pep, but definitely enough to remind us of the show we loved way back when. It's been funnier, livelier, and — as proven by the final moments of this week's ep, "Last Time in New York," even more emotional.

And as has always been the case with How I Met Your Mother, the real meaty emotional moment didn't occur between two lovers. Yes, we feel for Ted when he professes to Robin that he loves her. We're impressed when Robin and Barney showcase their mutual affection despite a ganglion of self-destructive behaviors. But the best, most tearful instances in the show's history have been entirely platonic. I particularly love when Lily, who has grown on me quite a bit since her days of hyper-manipulation, doles out some compassionate advice to her dimwitted chums. In the latest ep, the recipient is Ted, who has vowed to leave New York for good after Robin and Barney tie the knot.

While its present day resonance might pale in comparison to that of days past, what How I Met Your Mother has done consistently well is keep us believing that these people are and should be friends. Ted and Marshall make sense as friends who would have hit it off in college and stayed close throughout the years. Barney is the sort of person who'd attach himself to a guy like Ted and keep his haunches embedded in the marginally cool and intelligent but ostensibly non-threatening, reliable average Joe. And it makes sense that within this beehive of nincompoops, that Lily would serve as confidant for the sadder members of the troupe. Sometimes it's Barney. Occasionally it's Robin. Most often, it's Ted. And thanks to their mutually somber vantage points (a fact that is highlighted in partnership with their tangible bond taking the form of Marshall, the most merry and humanistic of the group by far) and long history together, Ted and Lily have a realistic, meaningful relationship. One that really pays off in moments like the ending of "Last Time in New York."

Lily begins by spelling out all of the reasons she doesn't think Ted should leave, but settles (seeing the misery in the eyes of her friend) on just insisting that he leave on the best terms possible, growing misty herself at the thought of her pal departing with such heartbreak in tow. It's a genuine moment, the likes of which we recall from the earlier seasons, but that is even stronger now thanks to our own extended investment in these people (and nostalgia for their better days).

So sure, How I Met Your Mother might not consistently manage the wit and oomph of its first few years, but it still has shines of the heart we fell in love with way back when we realized this was more than just a goofy show about a guy who liked a girl he met in a bar. Bravo, HIMYM. Bravo, Lily.

For several seasons, the catwalks of New York, Paris, London and Milan have featured stark demonesses and dark historical references. Rick Owens strapped his power sex goddesses in fur. Marc Jacobs sent dark flappers down the runway. At Chanel it was shredded Goth Victoriana. And Sarah Burton is carrying the McQueen torch for Elizabethan fetish-wear.
You may not want to be a she-creature — at least not in the light of day — but admit it: the Goth looks that are stalking the runway could "glamour" even the strongest soul.

I'm not a drug addict: Sky Ferreira

New York: Pop star Sky Ferreira insists she is not a drug addict.

‘The Everything Is Embarrassing’ hitmaker and her boyfriend Zachary Cole Smith were held, here after cops pulled over their vehicle and found the rocker to be in possession of heroin. Ferreira was reportedly arrested for possessing Ecstasy.

However, the singer has accused cops of intentionally targeting the two, reports contactmusic.com.

“...it`s annoying because I wasn`t charged with his heroin. It says it. The public records are out there. I wasn`t charged with it,” she said.
“Trust me, if I was even anywhere near that, they would`ve charged me because they had no problem charging me with other s**t. They were out to kind of like f**k with us. I`m scared to say more than that because I don`t want them to arrest us anymore,” she further posted.

Mumbai: Actors Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Sonu Sood Tuesday unveiled the first trailer of their forthcoming movie ‘R...Rajkumar’. They added colour to the launch as they were dressed up as their characters.
The trio also performed a small act from the Prabhudheva film during the trailer launch.
"Every actor wants to do an action film and this is high on action and style. I am very excited about this film," Shahid told reporters at the event.
The action entertainer is co-produced by Eros International and producer Viki Rajani. The trailer will be attached to Abhinav Kashyap’s ‘Besharam’, which releases Wednesday.
‘R...Rajkumar’ will release Dec 6.

Prabhudheva is masala king: Shahid Kapoor

Mumbai: Actor Shahid Kapoor, who has worked under the direction of Prabhudheva for the first time in ‘R...Rajkumar’, says the actor-director is the "masala king" of movies.

Prabhudheva has earlier helmed Bollywood films like ‘Rowdy Rathore’ and ‘Wanted’.

"I hope I have been able to fulfil what Prabhu (Prabhudheva) has expected from me. It was an honour to work with him. He is the mawali (rowdy) and the masala king," Shahid told reporters at the trailer launch of ‘R...Rajkumar’ here Tuesday.
Shahid says he simply followed Prabhudheva`s instructions.
"I have copied what Prabhu was doing and I have only followed him throughout the film. There was too much of action, so it was tiring. But I had a great time shooting," said Shahid, who found it challenging to match steps with Prabhudheva as far as dancing was concerned.
"I used to think I am a great dancer, but when I danced with him I realised I am still a struggler," said Shahid, a trained dancer.
‘R...Rajkumar’ features Sonakshi Sinha as the female lead. The film releases Dec 6.

My father is my superhero: Hrithik Roshan

Mumbai: Actor Hrithik Roshan, who will be seen as a superhero in his filmmaker father`s movie ‘Krrish 3’, says his dad is his superhero.

Hrithik also credited his father with popularising the superhero genre in Bollywood with the ‘Krrish’ franchise, which started with ‘Koi Mil Gaya’.

"I am thankful to my dad. If he didn`t exist, there would have been no superhero genre in Indian cinema. He has broken all the barriers and has made it possible. This is because of the power of his conviction. For me, my father is my superhero, "Hrithik told reporters here Tuesday at the launch of ‘Krrish 3’ merchandise.
Asked if his own sons look up to him as their superhero, Hrithik said: "I always hope they see me as superhero. Being a father is the biggest chance and opportunity to be a superhero in your life."
‘Krrish 3’, releasing in November, also features Vivek Oberoi, Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut.

Jennifer Lawrence Lands Her Dream Role In 'Dumb and Dumber To'

Not content with simply winning an Oscar and starring in two blockbuster franchises, Jennifer Lawrence is attempting to break into the world of comedy by earning herself a role in Dumb and Dumber To. The Hunger Games star filmed a cameo on her day off, when she and her Mockingjay co-stars stopped by to meet Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. Lawrence will reportedly play a younger version of Kathleen Turner's character Fraida Felcher and will appear in a flashback. There's no word yet on whether Harry and Lloyd will also appear in the flashback, or who will play them.
Probably no one is more excited about this casting news than Lawrence herself, as she knows all the words to the original Dumb & Dumber film — a skill she showed off on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, which you can check out below. Considering her other two favorite films are Step Brothers and Anchorman, she's painting a pretty vivid image of her brand of humor. Let's also not forget that this is a girl who spent much of the press tour for the first Hunger Games film talking about how she pees when she's nervous, and detailing all of the gross habits she practiced during filming. She's essentially a Farrelly Brothers dream girl.

Dumb & Dumber To will pick up 20 years after the original, and will follow Harry and Lloyd as they journey to find Harry's long-lost daughter. The film is scheduled for a 2014 release; in the meantime, Lawrence will appear in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which will hit theaters on November 22, and American Hustle, which will be released in December.

NBC and CNN Drop Hillary Clinton Projects

UPDATE: NBC has announced that it has canceled development on its Hillary Clinton miniseries, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The decision comes hours after CNN Films formally dropped its planned Clinton-inspired documentary after pressure from political parties and the Clinton administration.
"After reviewing and prioritizing our slate of movie/miniseries development, we’ve decided that we will no longer continue developing the Hillary Clinton miniseries," the network said in a statement Monday.
The four-hour miniseries, expected to be written and directed by Courtney Hunt (Frozen River), was to star Diane Lane as the former first lady and secretary of state.
EARLIER: CNN Films has canceled its planned 2014 Hillary Clinton documentary following director Charles Ferguson's (Inside Job) decision to drop out. Ferguson withdrew his name from the film after being stonewalled by political parties, according to the blog he wrote for The Huffington Post.
Even though CNN and NBC were recently banned from hosting or sponsoring the Republican Primary debates in 2016 by the Republican National Committee because of their Clinton-inspired productions, Ferguson claims that the decision to cancel the movie was not because of pressure from CNN. Instead, he felt that he would not be able to make a movie that he could be proud of because of the resistance from democrats, republicans, and the Clinton administration.
"When I approached people for interviews, I discovered that nobody, and I mean nobody, was interested in helping me make this film," says Ferguson in his blog. "Not Democrats, not Republicans -- and certainly nobody who works with the Clintons, wants access to the Clintons, or dreams of a position in a Hillary Clinton administration."
For now, we'll all just have to wait and see if NBC actually follows through with its Clinton-inspired miniseries in the wake of all of this CNN showbiz-turned-political drama.

Lois Wouldn't Have Put Up With Heisenberg

After the Internet went wild with predictions about the Breaking Bad finale, we thought we'd riff on one of our favorite theories. Fans were hoping that by some stretch of Vince Gilligan's imagination, Walt would be put into witness protection and become Hal on Malcolm in the Middle. This made us ponder how Lois (played by the incomparable Jane Kaczmarek), Hal's infamously intimidating wife and strict mother to four boys, would have put up with all of Heisenberg's b.s. The short answer is: she wouldn't. But let's explore this hypothetical crossbreeding of television further. Here's how we think Breaking Bad would have gone down if Walt had been married to Lois.

Lois would be livid if she found out her husband was moonlighting as a meth cook. Unlike Skyler, Lois would have fished the truth out of Walt by the end of episode two of the first season. And she would have given him an earful and forced him to give back any money he had made. Krazy 8
Once Lois finds Krazy 8 chained up in their basement, which she would intimidate Walt into telling her immediately, she would have made him clean up the basement before calling his mother and sending him home.

Tuco
During Walt and Jesse's captivity at the hands of Tuco, Lois would have found his number somehow, and the first words out of her mouth would have been, "Now you listen to me, mister." Within the hour, Tuco would have hand-delivered Walt and Jesse to their homes.

Speaking of Jesse
Lois would have very little patience for Jesse Pinkman. Not only would she have lectured his ear off on the dangers of using drugs, she would have enrolled him in rehab and community college, which he would have to pay for himself by getting a part-time job, of course. He would also have to attend mandatory family dinners at her house, so he could report his progress to her and Walt.

Bogdan
Interestingly, Lois comforts Malcolm after he gets made fun of by another kid, "Any kid who makes fun of you is a creepy little loser who'll end up working in a car wash." Well, if she were on Breaking Bad, she would say the same to Walt, and she'd be right. Bogdan would never act condescending towards Walt knowing that he has a wife like Lois.

Gus Fring

The box office success of superhero films might have a thing or two to do with this small screen revolution. Still, if superheroes are your thing you’ll soon have plenty of viewing options during the week. (Unless your thing is female superheroes, and then you’re still screwed.)

Perhaps a less-known property, John Constantine is still a long-running DC universe character. Now NBC is looking to develop a show around the Hellblazer character with Dark Knight scribe David Goyer at the helm. Cheryl Cole trashes rumors of split with boyfriend Tre Holloway

London: Cheryl Cole has confirmed her relationship with Tre Holloway after rumors surfaced that they were on the verge of splitting.

The 30-year old English recording artist was spotted enjoying with her 28-year old US dancer boyfriend at Sushisamba restaurant in London, the Daily Star reported.

Sources revealed that the `Parachute` singer wanted Holloway to shift to the UK so she could get back into music, while he wanted to stay in the States where his career is taking off.

Adele 'set to play Dusty Springfield in new biopic'

London: Speculations are rife that Adele has been cast as iconic musician Dusty Springfield in a forthcoming biopic, based on the late singer`s life.

A source close to the star told the Daily Star that Adele is attached to a project, but it`s in the early stages of development.

Insiders have alleged that the film has been in the pipeline for years, with Duffy and Nicole Kidman both rumoured to be in line for the part.
Sources have asserted that the project will be set during the late 1960s when Springfield moved to Memphis to work with producers at Atlantic records.
It is understood that the 25-year-old mum-of-one, who has previously admitted that she is big fan of the late star, was chosen for the role because of her resemblance to the `I Only Want To Be With You` hit maker.
The movie will apparently be helmed by Nick Hurran and written by ` Boardwalk Empire ` screenwriter David Stenn.

Rachael McAdams wants to change past fashion choices

Los Angeles: Actress Rachel McAdams says if given a chance, she would travel back in time and change her fashion choices during her ice-skating days.

McAdams, 34, will be soon seen in time travel movie ‘About Time’ and was involved in the sport of figure-skating in college days.

"I was a figure skater. So, I would take back a lot of fashion choices on the ice. Lot of sequence, I would go back on the sequence a little bit. Maybe, the blue eye shadow," McAdams in a statement.

Directed by Richard Curtis, ‘About Time’ also stars Domhnall Gleeson and will release in India Oct 11.

More thrills in second motion poster of 'Dhoom 3'

New Delhi: Yet another sizzling motion poster of the forthcoming movie ‘Dhoom 3’ is out online and looks like a reminder to fans about what they are about to experience with the release of the movie.

While the first motion poster didn`t reveal much except Aamir Khan`s chiselled body, this one has more thrills and chills attached to it.

Aamir plays a negative role in the movie and the smirk on his face gets your attention.
The movie, which has always given bikes and villains a lot of limelight, has bikes jumping over cars and bridges in the second motion poster.
The focus then shifts to the four main protagonists- Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and Katrina Kaif.
The leads pose in a heroic manner as a fire rages around them. The graphics are well done.
The sound of a bike racing adds to the thrilling feeling. The signature tune of the ‘Dhoom’ franchise takes the musical lead soon followed by the sound of the bike.
Aamir will be seen in a negative role in the third installment of the franchise while Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra reprise their role as ACP Jai Dixit and Ali respectively.
Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the movie is set to release Dec 20.

Never whistled at Aishwarya while wooing her: Abhishek Bachchan

Mumbai: Actor Abhishek Bachchan Monday said his wife Aishwarya Rai is the beautiful woman but he had never whistled at her but courted her through his gestures, emotions, and words.

"I am used to people whistling at my wife... see my wife then you will know why I am saying this. I have never whistled at her to woo her... I don`t think its the right thing to do. I courted her through my gesture, emotions and words," said Abhishek.
Interjecting, Aishwarya said: "This is why I am married to him."
Abhishek, who has been married to Aishwarya for seven years now, says she is a wonderful cook and she makes good deserts.
"She cooks really well... in fact she makes good deserts. When we were newly-married, there is a Bengali custom where the girl has to make some sweet and she prepared halwa which was too good. More than anything else, it is the emotion and with love you cook that matters."

I am burdened by 'the star son' tag: Ranbir Kapoor

Mumbai: Actor Ranbir Kapoor feels strained by the tag of `star son` and wants to carve out his own identity which would make his parents feel proud of him.
Born in a family of cine-stars, Ranbir, the grandson of legendary Raj Kapoor and son of veteran actors Neetu and Rishi Kapoor, wants to create his own identity.
"I want people to recognise me by my work. I am burdened by this tag called `the star son`. People say I got everything easily, yes, I got my first film easily because people were curious about me. After that I have worked hard, experienced things. It is important to make an identity of my own," Ranbir said.
"My parents feel very proud when somebody calls them Ranbir Kapoor`s parents. Every father and mother wants that for their child. I hope that I make them proud and carry forward the legacy of my family in my own distinct way," he said.
Ranbir`s father Rishi Kapoor has created a new image with his performances of Rauf Lala in `Agneepath` remake, as Yoginder Vashisht in `Student of the year`, as an underworld don Goldman in `D Day` and others.
"He has made me realise one thing that stars fade and actors always remain. This is his second career as a character actor. The biggest thing is to have excitement and passion even at this age," he said.
Ranbir shared screen space for the first time with his parents in `Besharam` and found it intimidating to work with them, especially his father.
"I was very scared about how I will work with him (Rishi). I have never looked into my father`s eyes till now. I had to call him `mote`, `dharti pe bhoj`, I was like how will I say that. He gave me courage and never made me feel uncomfortable. I am very scared of him. But on a film set he becomes the character," he said.
"He has always been my favourite actor and now I finally got a chance to work with him. I can finally tell my children that I have worked with your grandfather," Ranbir said.
Ranbir is amazed that even after working for 40 years, his
father is still excited and passionate about working.
Talking about his soon-to-be-released film `Besharam`, Ranbir says there is action, comedy, romance, everything in the film but at the heart of it, it is a good story.
With this film, Ranbir is getting into the commercial space where actors like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar have created a foothold.
"I think it is a very hard genre. When you do films like `Rockstar`, `Barfi!`, `Wake up Sid`, there is certain understanding, you work on a certain character. While when you are playing a larger than life character then it becomes a bit difficult to do," he said.
"It was hard but as an actor it`s important to challenge yourself. I don`t know, the audience might just hate me, hate the film but I think the risk factor of it is very important. I am trying a different genre, hoping I would be successful in it," Ranbir added.
Releasing on October 2, `Besharam` is directed by `Dabangg` director Abhinav Kashyap and also stars Pallavi Sharda.

And going by the recent events, we thinks this game isn’t going to end any time soon. Akshay and SRK attended Yogesh Lakhani’s birthday bash recently. The two actors would have come face-to-face but they avoided their meeting by arriving at different times at the birthday bash. Poor birthday boy, we hear, had to cut the cake twice.

Medium budget films fail to click at Box Office

New Delhi: Be it the city of Prague or the beauty of a Fijian island, the new films that released over the weekend failed to pull audiences into the theatres. Going by the performance of ‘Prague’, ‘Super Model’, ‘Warning’ and ‘Maazii’ so far, experts are doubtful about their survival.

"Opening of all the movies has been very poor. I don`t know if they will be able to survive the week or not,” trade analyst Vinod Mirani said..
Anubhav Sinha`s ‘Warning’, which has been labelled as a survival film has reportedly collected Rs. 3 crore in three days. Executive producer Ishaan Gupta had mentioned that it’s a medium budget film.
Rohit Khaitan`s ‘Prague’ was made on an approximate budget of Rs.6 to Rs.6.5 crore and he said that revenues have picked up, but he refused to share any data.
Directed and produced by Jaideep Chopra, thriller ‘Maazii’ is said to be made on an approximate budget of Rs.7.5 to Rs.8 crore. This film, amongst the ones which released Sep 27, has been labelled a “disaster” by trade analyst Amod Mehra.
The film featured Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Ashok Banthia and Manish Chaudhary.
Even Navin Batra`s ‘Super Model’ that stars controversial Pakistani actress Veena Malik and her alleged ex-boyfriend Ashmit Patel didn’t create any waves at the Box Office.
"All the movies are flops. `Warning` must have earned around Rs. two and a half crore and rest in just lakhs," trade analyst Komal Nahta said.

Ranveer Singh's condition stable

Mumbai: Actor Ranveer Singh`s condition has shown no improvement but it is stable, a source close to the actor has revealed.

"Ranveer`s condition is still the same ever since he was hospitalised. There is no improvement but his condition is stable and that`s how it happens with dengue," the source said, adding, "There is nothing to worry about."

The actor was admitted to a suburban hospital here Sep 27 following high fever. Doctors have diagnosed him to be a severe case of dengue.

Talking about 'Happy Anniversary' premature, says Abhishek Bachchan

Mumbai: Actor Abhishek Bachchan Monday said it’s premature to talk about ‘Happy Anniversary’ which reportedly starts him and his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

"Prahlad Kakkar is an old friend of Aishwarya and I know him through her.... we have met him and we have the basic idea about the story. We have not read the script yet. It is too premature to say anything about `Happy Anniversary`. I can`t confirm anything right now," Abhishek told reporters at an event.

`Happy Anniversary`, to be directed by Kakkar, will be produced by Gaurang Doshi.

Waiting for Indian talent in American films to win Oscar: Kamal Haasan

Mumbai: Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan, whose directorial `Vishwaroopam` was in the race with other films for India`s official entry to Academy Awards this year, is not disappointed at losing the opportunity.

Instead he feels it would be more sensible when Indian talent works in American movies and wins an Oscar.

"With due respect, my films have gone seven times to the Oscars but I think it will make more sense when the Indian talent takes part in American movies and wins an Oscar or it must be like the way Ray saab (Satyajit Ray) did for world cinema. Otherwise, we are just visiting America, we are tourists," Haasan told reporters here Sunday at the closing of the Jagran Film Festival.
Satyajit Ray, legendary filmmaker-writer, not only won an Oscar but also all the major awards, including National Awards. His film `Pather Panchali`, won a total of eleven international prizes, including one at the Cannes Film Festival.
This year, out of the over 21 Indian films competing to make it to the Oscars, Gujarati film `The Good Road` has been chosen as India`s official entry to the Oscars.
The other films that were competing in the category included `The Lunchbox`, `Bhaag Milkha Bhaag`, `Ship of Theseus`, `English Vinglish`, `Vishwaroopam`, Malayalam film `Celluloid` and Bengali film `Shabdo`.
